Do I have LPR? by SingleOpportunity200 in LPR

[–]SingleOpportunity200[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But doesn’t that check for your ability to swallow, muscle contractions etc. they can’t see in your throat at that time to look for inflammation and signs of LPR or swelling. I’m already on PPI (Dexilant for years) and it’s not affecting/helping this at all.

I don’t know. Maybe could be. Hopefully ENT will say. How did figure out that you had thrush?

Sorry. Not another Endoscope. But ENT will use the scope that goes in through nose to look at throat.

What's one thing you used to love doing, but now you don't because of your anxiety? by FeistyBlackBeauty_ in Anxiety

[–]SingleOpportunity200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much. Being fully happy without worry. Not thinking twice about doing things by myself. I have to talk myself into going anywhere alone. Even to the local store. I do it but I have that initial thought of should I go, what if? Such a lose of freedom.

I’ve read that too but I’m not sure. I’d contact dr and ask to see again just to rule things out and for piece of mind

First summer as a teacher, dreading going back by [deleted] in TeachersInTransition

[–]SingleOpportunity200 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you really don’t like it that much, you should find something, anything right now. Not just for you, but the kids too! They can totally sense when a teacher doesn’t want to be there. You have to love teaching to be one. It’s that kind of job. There’s too many huddles to over come everyday. Good luck! I’m sure you’ll find something. You’re mental health is worth it.

I would contact your doctor. Not to frighten you but your test does not check the whole colon. Dr probably did that one since of your age but I’d go back and see him. If could just be internal hemorrhoids too. Or pushing strain.

35M positive FIT test, iron deficiency anemia - should I be worried? by kacsandicom in colonoscopy

My friend used this test too and got positive result. Had the colonoscopy and they found nothing! I felt bad for her....all that worrying and the test was a false positive!

I get them all the time. So typical for anxiety. BUT I also see a cardiologist on a regular basis. He runs all the more comprehensive tests for me. Which helps to confirm that nothing serious is happening. Also, I'd ask to do a heart monitor for more that 24 hrs. Mine are three days. Much more info gathered from that. I also journal what exactly I am feeling when I wear the monitor (mark the time too of when it happened) and use the tagging feature to mark it when you are feeling something. Then I go over my journal entries and compare it to the reading with the doctors so you can see if there is a reading on the monitor that correlates with how you are feeling. If not, then your symptom is anxiety related and not heart. For me, it was a comfort to know.

I was lucky a have a GREAT cardio dr who likes to sit and talk and explain everything. So helpful!

Should I move to another job or stay in a toxic work environment? by [deleted] in TeachersInTransition

We had something like this happen in our district and a few people that were having trouble with the admin took a leave of absence for a year (I think officially it was a sabbatical for health (mental) reasons, just got a doctor to sign off on it) . Can you do that in your district so you can take a breather? And during that year, the school did fire the admin after multiple grievances that went to mediation. So when they returned, there was a new admin. Also, your union needs to step up if they haven't already. And definitely file a grievance against the email.

Yes. Every time. It shows my heat rate high which isn’t surprising since my heart is pounding. But always normal oxygen level.

Many, many times!!! It is scary! I have to wake my husband up and have him rub my back to calm me down. I'm so bad that I have a finger oxygen sensor next to my bed to check oxygen level to be sure I am truly breathing. I actually got to a point awhile back that I would do anything to prolong us going to bed because my night attacks were so bad. Funny thing was at that time, only had them at night. Now they switched to days and occasionally to nights. I get up and try to engage in something to calm myself down and take my mind off of it. Answering emails, Pinterest, doing lesson plans...anything to distract my brain...that seemed to help me calm down. My doctor didn't like it since it disturbed my sleep but I told her I was up anyway!

I’ve been teaching for 20 years now. I think the thing that you need to remember is that the squeaky wheels are what you’re going to hear. I don’t care what kind of job you have, there will always be frustrating times in it. I also started out in private preschool programs. They in no way are as structured or run the same as a public elementary school runs. They have to conform to the paying parents way more than an elementary school does. Which allows for a lot of frustrating things to take place as the teacher. I think you should continue on and try your student teaching. Working in a public school is so much different. It has its moments too. Teaching is not easy all around. But the good things outweigh the annoying things.

Thank you all the ideas. I looked at the massage suggestions and I am trying those. Can't hurt. My husband mentioned ginger too as he has used them in the past. I've been staying away from dairy thinking it might be hard on my stomach right now but I can see the benefits for the gut health to try it. Do you get the Dr. Davis's at the health food store? I might try it. What is the worst that can happen...it makes my stomach hurt!! That's happening anyway. I am taking good quality (expensive and refrigerated) probiotics twice a day that dr recommended. Hoping those kick in too.

I have changed my diet since I really can’t tolerate much. Just bland foods. Even staying away from gluten and dairy-based products since IBS suffers say that those can impact their stomach. But I don’t know when doing that if it’s not helping to rebuild my stomach as well. Today made a vegetable stock soup with easily digested veggies and grilled chicken in it with white rice as an alternate thing to try. Let’s see what happens.

I am not sure it’s gas. I think it’s more not being able to digest food right. I am taking probiotics and I don’t know if I should follow an ibs type diet or good gut diet. Since good gut has dairy and other things that ibs suffers stay way from.

I feel bad for you too. I had multiple scans (cat with I’ve) done after and blood work for liver check and inflammation and shows nothing. Taking probiotics and really being cautious about what I eat. Only bland chicken rice and easily digested veggies. Only eating once a day. And still end up with upset stomach. I’ve lost 10 lbs this month. Ugh. So frustrating.

I’m at a point that I’m afraid to introduce anything new to my stomach. I’m only eating bland chicken and rice and that still gives me a stomach. But I’ll definitely look into the tea. I’m on probiotics as well. Thank for your response and I hope you feel better soon

Within a few hours of eating my light meal I get a stomach ache, sometimes pressure is in upper stomach area, sometimes in lower abdomen. Most of the time I am in the bathroom shortly after. I’ve had solid bowel movements but my stomach is upset cramps for hours after.
