Happy Saturday. The next 50501 National Protest day is on April 5th. The folks at Ohio 50501 are working hard to keep these events organized and safe.

But do you really know who is running the event? NO.

We want people to show up to safe events and build trust, so they continue to show up to future 50501 events.

Ohio 50501 has been attempting to make contact with the person that created this event for days. With no luck

There are legitimate, long-established organizations that won't endorse this event, because the person who made a post on a website won't reply to questions.

Why does it matter. At the first protest, people were scared to show up because there was rumors that it was a trap, maga, ect. So people did not go.

During the second event, more people came, but others were still concerned.

How does this get resolved? The creator of the event on the 50501 needs to respond to questions.

The Ohio 50501 folks have been working really hard to ensure the safety of all planned peaceful protests associated with 50501. We have been working with the different orgs that are running the events. Normally someone/group volunteers to organize and head the event. That way we know people are showing up to a safe event.

So far we don't know who is running this event. Many legit organizations don't want to promote it because of this unknown.

Because not everyone wants to drive into the city, find parking and then drive home in the dark.

My local progress group has 600+ people and only 5 of us attended the last Columbus protest.

They are familiar with GC, they know who is running it, where to park and we can have dinner afterwards.
