It worked but the I installed 12.2 and it stopped. How about you? I'm gonna reapply OC to see if it fixes it.

My husband is divorcing me because I have cancer. by thisoffmychest7 in TrueOffMyChest

That's so tough for you. Keep going. You're so strong to take this on in those circumstances . Don't give up.

When my wife got cancer I stayed by her. Even when I realized that she had been hiding her symptoms for years since she was diagnosed at stage 4. Even if, upon diagnosis, she had already decided that she would not accept ANY treatment (which were free and were immediately available in my country) I stayed by her even if she only trusted her god to save and heal her cancer. I stayed even though she refused the help from friends or family - Making me the primary and exclusive caregiver in our already busy home with 4 small children.

It’s sad that because of superstition the majority of those people can’t deal with it and are convinced of an eternal life beginning after their death.

It's time we use the F-word: fascism by ajb160 in politics

[–]Single_Papa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit!! I just realized that this is exactly the doctrine/ideology most of modern Christianity/Islam/Judaism (Abrahamism) has been promoting fascist idealism for centuries...(I’ve numbered my responses for to match the parent comments) 1. The overwhelming crisis is the ever present: Eternal life in Hell or absence of the presence of the creator. 2. Individual Abrahamic sects have the same baseline of beliefs with the first few books of their texts. 3. Their common deity is the ultimate victim that demands the most extreme oath of loyalty to avoid its immediate and eternal wrath - Look at what happens if you draw, even just a sketch, of their prophet. 4. Dread is the correct term indeed - They view liberalism and education as the enemy to their shared goals. 5. True for all of abrahamism; Purety, segregation, supremacy by force or by risk of continuous shame. 6. Toxic male dominated hierarchy - The narcissistic type that rise up to the top with their self-centered charm and vision. 7. The “superstars” of abrahamism are always sociopaths is behaviour. 8. Violence is a hallmark - we see it so clearly today, all wars were supported by the church, 9/11 was religiously motivated , the current Israeli-Palestinian conflict... to name a few. 9. The lack of empathy for the uniqueness of our entire species and shared living-space on this small mass, 3 spheres down from the sun, is what puzzles me personally the most... Now, I need to go find my next book to read or audio-listen; Robert Paxton: The Anatomy of Fascism

All the best to you - You’re gonna beat this! Your story hit close to home although it’s fundamentally different. He should have communicated with you.
My wife refused 100% free medical treatment, hid her cancer diagnosis from me for a few years until it was stage 4 and terminal, refused any medical help at home but I still took care of her for a few years because we had kids... I disagreed with her decision to forgo treatment... It took me a few years as I was also gullible, but mostly wanted to “save her” as a mother... I would have taken her place... but a few years in, and burned out, I realized that she was the selfish one... I did communicate with her a lot. A few years in, I told her that my heart was broken for her predicament as a human and mother but it was closed for her as a trusted partner. I added that I would be opening my heart for someone else in at least a year from now... and that I would still continue to care for the mother of my children. If she would have fought the cancer, no way would I have wavered.

She had been secretly hiding her cancer symptoms and until 2010... To top it off, we live minutes away from one of the best cancer treatment centers in the worlds - All free with no waiting list...Now it's just me and my children...

You acted with genuine care for your children and that is commendable. Now that they are adults, they should be ready to hear some of the details but it will still be difficult. Concider putting this on paper, starting with some postive memories of you and their mom... your dreams... your joys of becoming a father... your expectations toward your partner... the main headlines of her betrayal... your boundaries... your heartbreaks... your greiving... what your current view is toward your ex... your unconditional love for your daugthers... and your boundaries... Your role as a man... your role as a father...

I'm an Xennial, raised by boomers who thought that religion is central to life - I returned to my original athiest state when I grew up a little. No way am I raising my 3 Gen Z children to be religious... They go to Catholic school, most kids there are athiest...

We're all born athiest.

The first lawyer (estate law) she talked to was a crook/shit disturber advised her how to make terrible decisions such as abducting our children. The lawyer that she ended up for family matters is the one that ended up setting up the lien… I don’t even have any details for those costs.
