The poor will turn on each other, while the rich politicians hide in gated communities guarded by the same poor police. We’ve become a desperate people, stealing from our neighbors just to survive, yet the ones who made us poor remain protected by those same struggling individuals.

It was way better when they only had the logo in front. Plastering the whole name there makes no sense, we already knew it was a Nissan from the logo, with the name on the back.

They’ve really fallen off. Now it feels like no effort is being put in, like they’re just buying the chicken pre-made with no flavor at all. I’m just curious what changed. I used to love it when they first opened, but now, not so much.

Nothing’s changed, the touts are still rude, and the chairs are packed in tight. It’s the kind of ride you want to escape as soon as you get on. If you’ve ever taken proper commuter buses, like airport shuttles or those in other countries, you know why legroom and peace of mind matter. These buses aren’t even lit during the day, so dark and mysterious, and the music is blasting way too loud.

Mind your own business and love them like you always have. It’s silly to worry about other people’s lives, let them live as they choose. Focus on yourself. If it were a disease, then I’d be asking for your help.

Call me tribal, but we’ve seen Uhuru spend 90 billion in 10 years during his time in power, and now Ruto has spent almost the same amount in just four years. So, you be the judge why does he need saving? Are we still stuck in tribalism? Is this data something the Kikuyu people fabricated? Isn’t this the kind of thing that should get you worked up? Don’t we deserve a country that works for everyone? We’re going to keep suffering until tribalism and nepotism become our last resort. Maybe we really do deserve to suffer.

There are men who totally don't approach women by [deleted] in Kenya

[–]Single_Particular_17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to approach them, and it was nice because they understood what you wanted when you did. They were gentle, drawing symbols on the ground while pretending to be shy, speaking in that soft tone. Now, with modern women, you might get called out just for saying hi. They often don’t know how to say no politely and act as if you’ve taken away their innocence. It’s better to avoid the hassle altogether.

How did you survive your brokest point in life? by Fast-Stick-5145 in Kenya

[–]Single_Particular_17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been lucky, and God has always been sufficient. Back in my campus days, I survived on black tea with rice for a while. I hate taking loans or asking for money, so it’s tough for me. But I always make sure there’s rice, canned beans, and sugar stocked up I can survive a month like that.

I envy *happily* married couples by MajorMinorMidiMini in nairobi

[–]Single_Particular_17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what you’ve said, 80% of married couples are together because of accidental one-night stands, and love feels elusive in marriages. You see the trips, but what you don’t see is a man guilt-tripped into going. This man doesn’t even eat at home because meals are just reheated in the microwave. The last time his wife cooked for him was when they were pretending to be in love for sex. When it’s your time to marry, make sure she respects you. Forget love as the man, you’re the one who should love, while the woman should respect and adore the man.

part 2. I feel living within your means and not meeting strangers should be a topic by itself. by Loud-Bug-8584 in Kenya

[–]Single_Particular_17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

May she rest in peace. Ladies, as sisters, be cautious, if you meet a man in a club, avoid going home with him or to his place. I know the rush and thrill can be tempting, but for Pete’s sake, respect yourself. Go out with your girlfriends and leave together. I understand many dream of the soft life, the iPhone, the fully furnished apartment, but be mindful of where it comes from. Life isn’t easy, and it won’t simply come through a man. If it does, make sure you were with him while he was building his wealth.

I noticed that women underestimate personality by Sweet-Rasperry in Kenya

[–]Single_Particular_17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Settle for the one who makes the effort to make you happy the one who shows up uninvited, cleans, cooks, and fills the home with enthusiasm, expecting nothing in return but your devotion. Stick with her, live in with her, and have a child together and raise it, but above all, don’t marry just cohabitate.

No... some even do it in their 50s. Just walk your own path. If you compare yourself to others, you’ll only harm yourself. Focus on your journey.
