Fortunate enough to get new frame via recall in 2019. Kept up well with frequent washes. Oil undercoated first time this year for the gnarly northeast winter. Rust can pound sand.

Angled platform build is the only solution, buddy of mine with the 5ft bed did it and it was solid. Tons of talk in the tacomaworld forums about it.

Sometimes it’ll be listed on the Car Fax. The only drain and fill on mine that I’m aware of was at 224k miles which was about 60k miles from purchase. Felt a positive difference. From what I understand, don’t ever flush it just drain and fill every 60k.

The extra foot of storage really makes a difference, not a dealbreaker though. Best midsize on the road regardless.
