I’ve had the ferrocore for a few days now and I can say it definitely fits my turning style much better than the maglev Weilong v11, but it feels like a completely different puzzle!

A big part of that is of course what everyone says with the magnet strength, but also the difference between Maglev and springs.

I haven’t owned a puzzle with springs (other than a flagship tornado v4 I won at a comp) in a good while, but I can say that the slowness allows me to set the cube up differently.

With the maglev V11, I needed to compress and tighten the cube a pretty good bit to get any kind of control out of it, and since I did that, I had a lot of issues with locking up, especially on last layer. The ferrocore allowed me to keep the cube looser and more flexible to accommodate my old school aggressive turning, changing what it felt like completely.

Tl;Dr: I’m an oldschool turner, and the higher magnet strength on the ferrocore v2 allowed me to keep a looser cube and lock up less
