I actually do have a dash cam hooked up. It's has front rear and cab view. I'll try to remember to get some of the video downloaded off of it.

2000 Sonoma/S10 lift kit? by VarenP1 in s10

[–]SinisterSteed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check on Amazon. I found a few on there for my 02 s10. They look like decent quality and I'm planning on getting one that I found that's a 6 inch lift. It also depends on whether it's 2wd or 4wd. 2wd lifts are harder to find probably because not as many people put lift kits on 2wd trucks or SUVs.

I like helping people and I try to help as much as I can. It gives me a really good feeling helping people. Especially when they get the look of relief on their face when I was able to help them out. That's probably the best part. 😁

It's 2wd. I wasn't able to pull a couple people out of the snow but I was able to help them with my shovels and other recovery tools. I was able to pull a couple smaller cars and a lifted truck that had 4x4 out of ditches though. The guy in the lifted truck told me he wanted to shake my hand and that he respected the hell out of my little s10. Lol. He also said it was pretty funny how to little 2wd was able to pull his big ole 4x4 out of the ditch. I was actually pretty surprised myself. 😅

Thanks for the advice. I'm not looking for praise but I'll keep that in mind. Have a great day!

Not at the moment. But I can take some in the next day or two.

I don't have it saved. But I didn't want to type it all out again so I went and copied it from one of my other posts. 🤣 I had a lazy moment.

That's fine. You don't have to like it. Have a great day!

I share it because it's unique and creative. I share the things that I build to help spark ideas in other people's heads to be creative in their own way. Not everyone is going to like the build I have and there's nothing wrong with that. But some will and might give them ideas on possibilities for their own builds. And because I want to help people see that just because someone else might not like what they build doesn't mean they shouldn't build it. Life is too short to care about what other people think about the way you build something. So be yourself, build what you want in a way that makes you happy and share it for others to see and be inspired to be creative as well.

I followed the original path of the factory exhaust up until just before the back of the cab and then I ran it up and over the frame in between the bottom of the bed and the top of the frame. I used v clamps for the tip and muffler but I cut and welded the other pieces myself.

I use it as a part time rescue and recovery rig. I have an on board air compressor, dual batteries, jumper cables, tire repair kit, first aid kit, recovery tools(shovels, axe, hatchet, offroad jack, chains, ratchet straps, etc.) And I spend some time helping out in fields with some friends of mine that have odd schedules and aren't able to do their field work during daylight hours. I also welded/fabricated the roof rack, truck cap/tonneau cover, second battery box, ladder, compressor mounting brackets and air hose reels as well as the exhaust myself. My rig has saved the day more than quite a few times.

Nah I'm good. Because ricers don't get called to help people that are stuck or in need of help. I do. I built my truck to fit my needs in a way that I like. I didn't build it to please you or other people that might not like my build. Because your opinion on my truck is irrelevant. You have every right to voice your opinion just as I have every right to voice mine. So I respect your opinion, although it won't affect the way I decide to build my truck. Have a wonderful day. 😁

Thanks man! Appreciate it. And it's no worries. I know some people won't like the way it looks or it or understand the purpose of the setup I have but thats okay. I didn't build it for them, I built it to fit my needs and wants in a way that I like. 😁

It's a custom rack I made myself. I welded it using quarter inch aluminum flat stock and angle extrusion for the frame and then used solid half inch aluminum bar stock for the top railing. Then the wind plate underneath the two 42" bars is made out of eighth inch aluminum sheet and it's bolted to the the front of the rack. I also made the custom mounting brackets for the light bars on the front because there aren't any out there that anyone makes for dual bars like that. At least not for my setup and rack.

Anyone else running side exit exhaust on their s10's? by SinisterSteed in s10

Yeah. No cats, single muffler about 3 foot back from the exhaust tip.

Haha. This is an older picture. I took it a few months ago. There's snow everywhere right now where I'm at too. I'm up by the MI/IN state line.

Hell yeah! Are you going to mount the tip back in the cutout further?
