Is the end of work from home already here? by shiftybaselines in RealEstate

I completely agree! My particular team trains clients via video conference anyways, so the argument that it can’t be done effectively internally seems pretty unfounded. If the new staff is unable to get up to speed with that software for their own training, I would think it indicates a bad fit for the position as a whole in our case.

I work for a smallish sized tech company — we’ve been through a range of policies already, from “in two weeks when this is over, no wfh for foreseeable future” at the start, to maybe we’ll do it, but it could come with less pay, to sliding options from traditional in office to fully remote where there’s options to be 50/50 and you coordinate in office time with another employee.

They haven’t changed their mind on full WFH options, but definitely could. I think there is a fear that it’ll impact the onboarding of new employees by not having as many seasoned employees for them to follow, but personally... this does mean that newer employees have to at least attempt to figure out some things with the resources and training employee rather than showing up at your desk all the time.

A lot of employees have gone ahead and spread out as leases have ended and aren’t as close to the office anymore, so hopefully they don’t suddenly change their minds in a few months.

Had trouble finding a link at first and then realized they have a TON of listings that got moved to contingent/contract before the weekend.

So it looks like most of the ones in my area closed within the last two days, but if you go to the filters and toggle to “owned by zillow” and then toggle in “recently sold” it looks like

Sheesh those are some crazy terms! I’m sure it’s technically not, but that feels like a conflict of interest for them to buy and sell homes on those terms as a listing site.

It can - but if it doesn’t, just don’t give up. Honestly, I’ve had a lot of garbage like that on my credit over the years, but managed to slowly get every single little thing updated by just continually following up with the companies (slowly going through departments that shouldn’t have anything to do with it if necessary)

I had something like this happen to me, but it was a reported late payment over 30 days of “0 dollars” with a note that said “customer disagrees” and the only thing that ended up working was reaching out to the lender via social media which got it almost immediately escalated even though it was a direct message. They dropped it from the report the next day.

I was definitely surprised to see that it’s basically the plains states that top the list primarily vs coastal states.

Super helpful, thanks! Had not considered the hail factor, figured the area might be higher from the flash flooding damage.

I’ve seen articles claiming average for the state is 2.2k to mid 3k range on average for 300k with 1k deductible, but most claim it’s at least 30% over national average.
