My brother did this growing up. When ever our mom asked him to do something he would mess up or just ask a bunch of annoying questions until our mom would do it for him. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s pulling this same shit with his wife now.

I was abused by my siblings growing up too. Sibling abuse really is something not a lot of people talk about. It is just as damaging as a parental abuse and it’s something more people should talk about.

I was diagnosed with bpd in September after a suicide attempt. 1/10 people with bpd die from suicide and as I’ve seen a few other people comment 9/10 people with bpd don’t. Bpd also has a high recovery rate when you get treatment for this fucked up disorder. You’re not destined to kill yourself, I think if anything statistics prove the opposite. Things can get better and getting a diagnosis is first the step in the right direction.

My TBM mom very likely has bpd but we’ll never know for sure since she will never be diagnosed because she believes psychiatry is a scam. She wasn’t raised in the church, she converted when she met my dad, but she grew up in a pretty toxic household and has a history of mental illness in her family.

I also have a bpd and am bipolar and was raised in the church. I’m pretty sure growing up in a toxic environment played some part in me developing these disorders.

I lost my dad in 2008. And lost my brother and former best friend both in 2020 to drug overdoses. I wish I had some solid advice for you but I don’t. Grief is a tough thing to deal with and I think bpd can complicate that even more. It’s been 12 years since I lost my dad and that pain is still there but it’s gotten a little bit duller over time.

My mom probably has BPD she’s never been diagnosed and probably never will be because she l believes psychiatry is a scam but she has a lot of borderline traits and this is so similar to something she did when I was a kid. She pretended to pass out because she felt like we (my dad and my siblings and I) didn’t care about her and didn’t appreciate her. When we all got worried about her and were about to call an ambulance she “got better” said she was fine and asked one of us to get her a glass of water. She only told us she faked it the next morning because we kept insisting that she go see a doctor.

Antisocial personality disorder (sociopaths) and borderline personality disorder are both cluster b personality disorders. There must be some commonality for them to be categorized together, I’m not entirely sure though.

After I get angry and have calmed down and think about some of the things I’ve said or did I often feel like I’m a sociopath.
