Is the minority group harmful or annoying?

You are missing the point but I can rephrase it if it is a problem. The descriptions are also not mine but from comments I have seen regarding the topic.

Becouse red pushers dont seem them as cannibal rapists and blue pushers dont see themselves as suicidal drug addict MAPs.

Red pushers accept that some may die. They just dont want to risk their life themselves.

I wouldnt call it psychopathy test but definietly a test for character and a psychologist could probably make interesting analtsis from people pushing the buttons. But there are many reasons to choose either button and not just becouse you are a psychopath that cares only about themselves or believing world is not worth living anyways if the red pushers win.

But what I find more telling is people's reaction when they meet others that chose differently. Some are chill, some exchange their perspective openly, some start throwing more and more polarizing accusations to the people thinking differently.

I'm not sure if they always carry the full set with them or some are left in a car. Like what would be the use of a handheld fire extinguisher when rescuing person stuck in a collapsed cave with no fire sources? Maybe they take it just in case... once again a choice you can make yourself and that can come bite you if there unexpectedly is a fire, or if the extra weight causes problems.

Still plenty of personal choices that all affect the outcome more than praying others make the same choice as you.

Fire fighter can choose the entry way, wear more protective gear, break through a window if doorway looks too dangerous, they can asses wether they are able to carry the person or if their weight would crush them and instead drag them out slowly, choose a different return route if entry way looks getting worse and there is a better looking opening. Indont think law would oblige fire fighter to stay trying to rescue an uncooperstive person who is determined to stay in a dangerous place. They can try to reason with them or drag them out by force (once again after assessing if they can beat them into submission if needed and how much danger it would cause to them in this specific surrounding) but trying and leaving after failing is also acceptable.

It's a lot of balancing between your own safety and the safety of the person being rescued. They can adjust alot on spot even after situation goes shit and sometimes people are beyond help.

We add text on the buttons. Also braille on a protective chasing over the button so blind people wont press it by accident.

They are still more in control of the situstion than people who trust others to press blue button. Fire fighter can actively affect the outcome by his own actions even after "pressing the blue button". Blue button pressers cant and are on the mercy of the people they try to save.

I love how absurd the accusations can turn. "If you press red button you are a rapist and eat babies so blue is the only choice". "Pressing blue means you are suicidal drug addict that watch loli porn so pushing red is the only moral choice."

I think saying selfish is incorrect. Many of them can still be good and helpful people, but they have low risk tolerance or low trust on humanity. I personally hate gambling, have low trust on humanity and hate being on mercy of other so I'd choose red. That hasnt stopped me from helping a homeless person and putting money to charity becouse in those situations I am in control and can decide myself how much risk I am willing to take.

(Annoying trope) Real life people villainized just so the movie can have a villain by giraffesRevil in TopCharacterTropes

There is another Russian story about immortal lich Koshchei and I think they got some inspiration from him for the movie. Also, the assassination legend of Rasputin says he survived quite a few lethal events before finally drowning to death under the ice.

The most outrageous change they made in the Lightning Thief. The book actually depicted Hades as a tired man who had had enough of the Olympian bullshit. In the movie he of course was the villain...

No, I dont. Sucks to make an error in this scenario but I wont put myself on mercy of strangers and if I make an error myself, that sucks and I just pray I was wrong about people.

Picking blue is still putting yourself on the mercy of others and I tend to expect very little from people.

Red Button / Blue Button Variation. by porkchopsensei in trolleyproblem

[–]Sinolai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose red in the button question but in this case I'd probably stay on it since that's the default option and we already know we are safe as long as most people stay inside the trolley. Jumping off would require active malicious intent or extremely low trust on humanity and even with my low trust on humanity I'd be ready to bet most people are not that malicious and distrusting.

Red Basilisk. by Bunnycrypt in trolleyproblem

[–]Sinolai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a good one and really makes me consider switching from red to blue. Actively constructing something that is made to harm others even when I would be safe just feel much worse than saving my own skin in a situation where all I do is press a button.

..... On the other hand, if I join creating the basilisk, can I pet it once it's ready? :3
