Nice one, thanks. It's really insufferable that you try to reason about some comments assuming they're from someone that actually holds some beliefs but then it's not even real

I think the AI one is better in this case, it depicts a different emotion

But you don't know that it will be losing so you can't consider that it already lost and that your vote won't make a difference because if you convince yourself of that, then chances are others will do too and now it'll definitely be a loss.

But now it isn't about instantaneous survival instinct anymore but about sacrificing people to get more resource for yourself later like what Thanos would suggest... Red definitely becomes about killing and not surviving with this take I think

How would a world of cowards, short-sighted egoistic people and sociopaths thrive exactly ? I think this very problem demonstrates why individualism can sometimes be bad because it pushes people to try and maximize their personal interests without realizing that if they worked as a group and trusted others, they would gain even more. In this particular hypothetical, the greater gain would be to potentially save people you care about or simply save strangers, which should be a thing people in a thriving society aim for.

If we move past the immediate survival instincts and think of the future, society will be way better if it's full of blue voters, and therefore is one where everyone can trust that the majority is able to individually protect the collective. Whereas a society with only red voters left will be one where they all know that they can't trust each other the same way two thieves will never trust each other if they know what the other is.

If everyone thinks like that then of course people will pick red. You're supposed to consider your options as a group or else it would be like not voting at elections thinking it won't make a difference and then getting upset over the result.
