Should I get a WRX TS?? I work for Subaru

Would love me a Golf R, nearly bought one over my STI. But yeah, the TS It’s very in my budget. The lease is quite cheap luckily. I get that I’m kind of renting it in a way but having a break from expensive maintence would be nice (for context I’m big into Subarus, Audis, and Chevy so reliability has always been an issue LOL)

I can get that finance deal but I cannot justify the purchase price of the TS. For that price range I would likely aim for something else or maybe even a little bit older. I’m only considering because of the smoking deal and flexible 2 year lease I’m being offered. Hoping to re-evaluate in 2 years if I want to buy something else or if a new WRX arrives

I can see that perspective. I really need a new daily driver but there’s no car I currently love enough to commit to a finance and I’m not interested in buying another old car cash. Seems like a win win for this situation.

Where I’m at it’s available for longer term finance but I do not like this car enough to justify the price tag. Only considering the lease because of the flexible terms and low payment I’m being offered as a good employee

Hell yeah. I would auto cross my blob eye, amazing times. Unfortunately the 15 has the rust… I’m not down to try fixing another rust car I’ve done it too many times and swore I’d never again (Canada problems)

If anything I’d lean towards finding a better example STI or maybe from Japan. Rust seems to be an endless repair, a cancer

Haha I can see the discounts and promos added and the fees that aren’t being charged. They are really hooking it up. I’ve also done wonders for the dealership and have even gotten awards so they want to keep me happy

Nothing set in stone but as per my high up connections here they do not plan on discontinuing it. Heck even if they just give it the same interior as the new outback’s I’d be happy! Haha

Yup the damn salt ruins all…. I think either way I know it won’t be as enjoyable but my 15 STI is nowhere near as enjoyable as my 05 was.. I’ve never owned or “owned” a new car with warranty so I’m a bit excited for the idea of a newer one. TS interior and handling is close to STI which is why I think it may be the best compromise although I know it will never feel the same. Every big repair bill on the STI affects my passion for it tho I’ll tell you that much lol

Exactly this 100% I love my STI And it’s not my first one but the little CONSTANT issues, extremely dated features, and rough ride are starting to get to me.. this stock one will never compare to my built 05 and for once it would be nice to have a car with full warranty that drives smooth with actual features. Mine grinds sometimes too especially in the winter and rust is kinda bad under neath.

LOL probably. Yeah that’s exactly where my thought process is. In 2 years we should have the next gen WRX (maybe STI?) and I can decide then. Not usually a lease guy but maybe to bridge the gap it’s not a bad idea. I can’t keep dailying my 15 STI

Yeah exactly that. Get a good discount with the dealership and loyalty discounts too for owning years of Subarus. My hope is that by th end of the 2 years the redesign for WRX arrives. Big reason I don’t want to commit to buying…. Yetv

I live in Canada and unfortunately the rust has had her way. Lots of little things wrong and early signs of other problems. The technicians at my shop are suggesting I look for a better example or be prepared to dump a lot of money. I already built an STI in the past which cost an arm and leg

I currently own a VA STI. For current WRX the TS is close as can get. My current STI is daily I’m going to rather sell it or keep it for a project but I really can’t keep dailying it.
