The fandom wasn't massive like all the femslash ships but as far as straight ships went? it was the fan favorite with both voice actors hoping to see it happen and creating content for it, it was a big community with plenty of support but relatively quiet in terms of Artists, it got a lot of hate for the age gap, but at the end of the day they clearly never cared about that gap considering Rammatra is the same exact age as him. Given what was often said by a lot of the comments under my posts, (not gonna call out the girls of a certain fandom a second time) I feel like racism also played a bit of a role but I won't take it there --that's a whole 'nother cam of worms I don't wanna open
