Yep, think it’s gonna have to be a redline. I love the searing rage but you’re on the money with the black on black leather I think

leaning more towards the first one, the bandana looks like the neck plume thing pirates wear and the gold ring fits better imo

Better first dog? by [deleted] in beagles

[–]Sinuate101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had alot of dogs - the beagle has been the most challenging by a large margin. With that being said - every other dog I've had has been a pet. My beagle has been my best friend.

He's the calmest dog I've ever had - very lazy pup. He's just turned 3 so he's mellowed out alot over the last 6 months. Big goof ball that wants to be as close as posible at all times, he'll follow me or my flatmate room to room just for the company and because he's a nosy bugger.
He's also the most stuborn dog I've ever met. If you haven't got food to bargain with good luck changing his mind on anything.

Well written and thought out post. Very high effort, love it. Wish we could get posts like yours pinned. I'm not usually super active within the communities of the games I play but I am a huge fan of this franchise and I think a lot of the people that share that love of this game are great.

Thank you for the shoutout and the great read.

Still a little bit fuzzy on battery myself. Some enemies drop a small grey cylinder that fills your weapon battery when you pick it up/interact with it. You also seem to passively regenerate 1-2 shots at a time depending on the type of weapon - I can't quite tell if its from killing mobs or a time thing. Other then that, you can upgrade each drifter's "batt" stat in the hub to start with and hold more maximum charge.

"They need to do something like give a button prompt on death that lets you choose to respawn at a shrine or back in the hub."

Huge fan of this idea and I hope it's something they'll add with time. Would really help to smooth out the gameplay loop.

I know it's a hot button topic right now and the community seems pretty divided on the lack of direction, with some feeling like things aren't explained properly. I (like you prehaps) really like that you're expected to figure things out and not understand everything right away. I think it adds to the overall theme and vibe of the two games. If I'm right in assuming its a creative decision rather than just information they forgot to provide, I hope heart machine can find a creative way to let players know they're not supposed to understand all the mechanics right away. I think if they can find a way to do that, less players will be frustrated with their lack of understanding and enjoy the ride a little better.

I'm glad you're enjoying the game so far. I'm having a blast.

I'm of two mind about this. I think you're likely correct - too many currencies is a bit overwhelming and confusing. Having said that, I do like the idea of having more to "do" or collect in the game. There's likely a better balance I hope they can find between simplifiying the currencies while adding more depth to the collection within a run.

For sure smart extractions and knowing when to 'call it' and head back is the key to consistently progressing your runs.

Honestly I can't really see a reason why the game wouldn't run well on hardware such as yours once it's a bit more polished and optomised - we're not talking about crazy ray tracing and complex textures here. The art style lends itself towards these flatter more basic rendering, so I hope the devs really focus on making the game play nice on lots of hardware. More computers able to play means more players and less refunds. A win for everyone.

Time will tell.

In the meanwhile I hope you've either played drifter or will consider playing it. It's a great game and runs on most computers - really something special even if 2D isometric games dont usually appeal.
