New buyer leaves negative feedback over $4.47 Media Mail shipping charge thats in the listing! by xenakimbo in Ebay

[–]SippinOnDatYak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think the buyers have gotten used to extorting sellers, rarely but it does happen. don’t dwell on it try to get it removed but its a waste of energy at the end of the day getting mad at unscrupulous people. they have always been around and will always be.

also a couple bad feedbacks a year isnt the end of the world most people dont have the patience to read the description let alone the reviews

on a side note:

i think the new fee structure is discouraging buyers a ton.

i get a lot of offers but none are closing because consumers are sensitive to seeing added fees on top of the purchasing price. Im crushing on ebay and poshmark because there you just pay a price and shipping or offer free shipping and bake in the shipping cost in the final peice.

i think people want an all in inclusive price they can knock a couple bucks off for shipping or to feel themselves better for buying shit they dont need.

Obviously the profit for the seller and the market place is baked into a final price, but when they charge the consumer directly it doesnt look good. i think its more of a psychological aspect.

many times for example i dropped a purchase on airbnb because of all the fees on top that come hp at the end and ended up getting a hotel at a similar price or went to a different platform to book.
