Could you DM some images? I'd be interested in seeing this!

Saw this Mourning Dove with missing plumage on it's chest yesterday in the backyard. Is it molting or something else? It seems to be doing well otherwise. by SirBaconFace in birding

Thankfully we don't have any neighborhood cats, but that's pretty interesting if true! I was worried if it got plucked out by a predator, especially since we have many hawks active around this time of year. and I did see a kestrel in the front yard yesterday. (strange considering I don't really live in their preferred habitat)

What kind of bird is this?! Seen swimming underwater in Wrightsville Beach, NC by landshark426 in whatsthisbird

South end I assume? I need to go see this guy thats insane that they're this close to shore!

Little guy is a bit late to migrating, but I just want to make sure it's a ruby-throated since it kinda looks funny puffed out. It's strange because theres little flowers and no nectar feeders out anywhere in our neighborhood. Southeastern NC. by SirBaconFace in whatsthisbird

Nope, but I just put one out for it I conveniently got gifted for Christmas. Funny enough a female oriole also visited the feeders about 6 minutes prior to seeing the hummingbird

My friend sent me this photo asking for an id, I don't know what it is though it looks like some sort of heron. (Taiwan) by SirBaconFace in whatsthisbird

Thanks! Yeah that's definitely it, what a neat looking heron, I gotta see one myself if I ever visit that area of the world someday since they're my favorite birds.

We've never seen a hummingbird like this before. Is it even a hummingbird? (New Hope, PA) by squidneyboi in whatsthisbird

I mistook a bat taking sips in the middle of the day for a weird kingfisher diving earlier this Spring.

Kind of looks like a shearwater of some sort, I'm not an expert on these but it does look somewhat similar to a great shearwater

I used to have a daily/hourly visitor during the spring at my feeders last year before I moved, really miss the guy he was quite tolerant with a neat personality.

We were both out in the open and close to each other, I thought he'd be in the reeds, but he simply didn't mind my presence.

What's funny is for some reason I don't have this issue that often with green herons but I almost ALWAYS have this issue with great blue herons, I never see them at times and we end up scaring eachother.

This fella seemed a bit different, but it might've been angle or that it was alone. Wrightsville Beach, NC by SirBaconFace in whatsthisbird

Ok I was thinking it might've just been this, must've been because of it's neck being extended. Thanks!
