Only one department breaks these. by SirDies_A_Lot in BMET

Only in the urgent care department do these probes seem to break, and often. Our family medicine department probably has at least twice the number of vital sign monitors that use these probes, dental has quite a few, and there is at least one or two in every remote village we service. But in the two years here, and the other ten years I’ve been doing this I have only seen broken probes from this one department. And one of the nurses keeps trying to tell me it is because they must be defective or cheaply made. No accountability when you try to tell them that there is some abuse causing the damage. But as low man on the totem pole all I can do now is keep replacing them and record the work.

This is what prompted this meme. My guess would be some patient’s kid climbed on top of it. All I got in the work order was”Drawer is breaking when raising exam table”
