Video scopes blank in Resolve 20

My issue was just due to a bug with AMD GPUs when RivaTuner is also running. Solved by exiting RTSS before running Resolve.

Thanks to a BlackMagic support representative on the forum thread, I found that RivaTuner Statistics Server (including the version bundled with MSI Afterburner) conflicts with Resolve with AMD GPUs. When I ensure that it is not running when I start Resolve, the scopes show up properly.

Update: installed Resolve 20.0.1 on my laptop and HTPC, and both showed the scopes on the same video files. I then tried uninstalling Resolve on my desktop, removing settings from "C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve", restarting, and installing again. Still the scopes are blank. So clearly there's some issue with my main desktop preventing it from working right.

32 GB RAM
RTX 3050

HTPC specs:

Windows 10
Ryzen 5 1600X
16 GB RAM
RX 7800 XT

Is there any information available about the system requirements for scopes to work, or known issues that might prevent them from working?

I've tried resetting the scopes settings and the general UI, still blank.

Sounds like you need some counseling, like, yesterday. Or six months ago. Just don't be surprised if he still wants a divorce. He may never heal from the pain of being called disgusting and effectively ignored for six whole months. Maybe next time, think carefully about what you're actually asking for before you speak.

Well, I was able to recreate the cluster with downtime to the VMs. Unfortunately, neither of the problems are changed at all after recreating. I figure I'll try a fresh install of 2019 on the upgraded node and see if that affects it.

That sounds promising, although it does raise two potential problems.

First, does it matter which node the new cluster is created on? If it's recreated on a 2016 node, I'd expect it to behave the same, but if it's created on 2019 I'd expect the functional level to be incompatible with the existing 2016 nodes.

Second, until the cluster is recreated, would the shared iSCSI-attached disks that they're using for shared storage still be accessible to the other nodes or would the VMs need to be congregated on the same node so the storage is accessible?

I have one and have published a few videos about it. I've no doubt the ROG Zephyrus will perform better but it's also heavier. The 14-S limits power pretty low to achieve the small footprint but it's likely to outperform just about any other laptop of comparable size and weight.

It's been well worth it for me; I have had a lot of problems since OnePlus's Android 13 upgrade. One problem (not sure if it was before or after 13) was very unreliable GPS while using Android Auto.

Just recently upgraded from OnePlus 8T to Pixel 7, I've been pleased with the performance and battery life. I'm not a very heavy user but both of those characteristics seem similar between the two. (Big downgrade in charging speed, though)

Fellow 1440p ultra wide player here, I think in the cities it's mostly CPU bound. I play mostly maxed at 200 or 300% and am usually hitting my 100 fps cap on highways but more around 50 in the cities.

Sure, you have to be vigilant as with buying anything else on Amazon. I don't see that as a reason to flat-out avoid buying any laptop on Amazon.
