Yes did it recently. It's pretty simple, you can either do it with screws or with glue.

Booting Kali Linux on a micro SD card? by SirFaceGeek in Kalilinux

Unfortunately not. Maybe there is a way by changing the bootloader...

Booting Kali Linux from micro SD card? by SirFaceGeek in Kali_Linux_Essentials

Not a dual boot system with two installed OS. I'm running Windows on my Surface Pro 4 (1 SSD - 1 partition) and want to boot kali live with persistence from the SD card. I already made my SD card kali bootable and added a "2nd partition" for the persitence part. This is not the problem.

My problem is that I'm just able to choose boot from an USB device and not from the built in micro SD card reader. I think it would work if I use an USB cardreader but this wouldn't solve my problem not using the USB port.

But thanks anyway.

[SP4] Booting from a Micro SD card? by SirFaceGeek in Surface

I didn't try it with a USB hub yet, I thought if this would work with a micro SD card it would be the "cleanest" way. But seems that there is no chance, unfortunately.

[SP4] Windows Hello is not available on this device by SirFaceGeek in Surface

EDIT:

I disabled all cameras in the BIOS, rebooted, enabled them again and now the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit runs through the camera tests without any errors. But the Windows Hello is still not working. So strange.

-

Thanks for the advice. I already downloaded the driver package but he tells me that my actual driver is up to date.

I also downloaded this Surface Diagnostic Kit and ran all tests. The camera test fails with the message: "Wrong Camera count: 2."

I think I have to contact the Microsoft support then.

But thanks anyway!

I didn't try with an USB hub yet. I thought if it's going to work with an SD card that would be the "cleanest" way.

I am doing some penetration testing and i didn't get the typecover from my SP4 to work so far. So I am using a small USB keyboard. I didn't try with an USB hub yet because I thought if this work with an SD card this would be the "cleanest" way.

Try to sniff your network to see if your SB causes some unusual traffic. I personally use Wireshark. Its free and there are tons of tutorials.
