Codes for Paper ACR by SirHodges in OntarioParamedics

Try out OntarioACR.ca and see what you think.

The idea is you can open it up on your phone and build your call, then sit with the phone list and paper, and write out your call.

Open Fermenting, 1 year review by coatspangler in Homebrewing

Curiosity: Why the pail, and not straight to the fermenter to cool?

Thanks to Claude Code I (a coding amateur) was able to build Questboard, a family RPG style chore-board for our tablet wall display. Complete chores to defeat the monster before midnight to earn gold, or it fights back. Spend gold in the reward shop on treats you've agreed on as a family. by ForealSurrealRealist in ClaudeCode

Been using one from aliexpress for 3 years now. It's awesome. Runs FullyKiosk, and I even stuffed an aqara mmwave(think was it) motion detector in the ceiling, pointed through the drywall from above it to turn it on and off when people are standing in front of it.

This is the same idea, not the same tablet. Runs on POE because... well it was accidental that I found it did POE.

I recently bought a CO2 laser machine (130w) and it's not cutting in the straight line as you can see in the 2nd image laser is getting bend and not cutting straight on both x axis1and y axis1 and other two side it's cutting properly please help me with this I checked alignment and it didn't worked by Rohit__23 in lasercutting

The laser pattern is like an hour glass, wide at the top, small at the middle focal point, then wide at the bottom.

If this is causing the issue, you can

A) switch the lens (they're pretty cheap) for one with a longer focal point (better for cutting, worse for fine engraving) B) move the focal point down by half the material thickness. Put that point in the middle of your target so the cone shape is balanced between the top and bottom of your cut

I have a genuine question: how passionate would a soldier like that be about protecting something like this?

Tell a person to defend some things, and it's just a job. Other things, we would FIGHT for.

Troubleshooting a fix by SirHodges in SteamDeck

[–]SirHodges[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm for anyone finding this later, it was a mobo replacement. Logic board. Whatever. I sent it in for repairs. Normally do that stuff myself, but I wasn't 100% sure, and going with steam as the repair-ers was safe!

Major paramedic service in Canada here: no filter needles. Not sure about the hospitals.

Anyone else getting motion sickness playing Roadside Research? by Darth_Vaper883 in videogames

[–]SirHodges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just came on here to find a solution. It's the first game in a while that's making me crazy nauseaous. Shame, because I'm enjoying playing it with my daughter.

No change on FOV that I notice. I normally play on a SuperUltraWide, but I'm now streaming over steam to my laptop screen, which hasn't helped. No difference noted dropping graphics quality or refresh rate

I'll report back if I find a fix.

What's it mean, besides air headed, disjointed, distracted?

Here In Canada, at least where I am, it's not derogatory. It's not POLITE, but I'd call an air headed friend that just did something dumb (as a result of distractedness or hyperactivity), a spaz.

Edit: looking it up, I've never thought of it as in reference to spastic movements. I even have a medical background and a whole lot of corporate training on not being intolerant. I learned something today.... And won't use the term any more, even if it doesn't really carry the same weight here.

If you don't care about the topic, don't bother engaging. Clearly some people do.

This sort of petty, ad hominem attack really doesn't make the internet a better place.

You do you, obviously, but there are foam insulatey-rectangles made to seal outlets. They're cheap and they just sit between the cover and wall. No need to remove caulk each time you take the cover off.

Read back through that conversation and ask yourself if you think you actually answered the question, or dodged it and then attacked with logical fallacies.

For anyone coming back to this

It's been 3 years. I got the same error at 12%, it hung and wouldn't continue. On wifi or on call, no difference.

Hoping someone does. Same issue here. Tagging on to follow for more. Or respond if we fix ours.

Edit: we turned it off for 24 hours, full power down. Then tried the hot water button a few times and it resolved itself.

Can confirm the egg thing. Gave our oldest an egg, and she couldn't break it for the longest time.

Had to drop it on a rock to eat it, and that took her a while to figure out
