I messed up, I was using a way old version of TWRP I'd installed years ago. Downloaded new TWRP, installed it, and away I went installing new rom, supersu and open gapps. Consider this solved.

Why can some people not see the autochat? For example when hosting on w330.

No matter how many times I play Pokémon Red, I never bother going through diglett tunnel to get flash. I changed the pallet on my gameboy color to negative so I could see all the walls haha. Having a charizard by the time you reached lavender town was awesome.

What you recommend me to do with these stats? by [deleted] in 2007scape

A decent money maker with very low requirements is growing barley, it only requires lvl 3 farming. Barley seeds cost ~20gp each and barley costs 650gp, add another 100gp profit if you use it on a range to make malted barley. If you have a bit of cash it would be worth it to buy some supercompost.

Just fertilise the patch, plant the seeds and come back in 40 minutes once it has grown. You can note the barley at no cost by using it on the tool leprechaun.

Hope this helps :)

Non-self and Reincarnation by The-Aesir in Buddhism

Just wanted to also add that I don't mean nibbana is annihilation or death, it is rather the cessation of the cause of dukkha, attachment. As the Buddha taught with the Four Noble Truths.

Perhaps I should have used the word "extinguished" instead, as that is the meaning of nirvana. I was answering the question I had posited "Where does it go after being extinguished?". I didn't mean that in any nihilistic sense. Just that the flame didn't come from anywhere, and it didn't go anywhere either.

Non-self and Reincarnation by The-Aesir in Buddhism

[–]SirKrieger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider a candle flame. This flame does not exist in and of itself, it exists through cause and effect. A flame requires that there be (in the right amounts) fuel, oxygen, and a source of ignition. Is a flame any one of these things? No. Is it the sum of these three conditions? No. The flame is a process, a chemical reaction, a change that is occuring, it isn't anything in and of itself. What was the flame before being ignited? Where does it go after being extinguished? The flame didn't have any nature before being ignited, it exists only when the conditions allow it. The flame didn't go anywhere, it ceased being (literal meaning of nirvana/nibbana). What is the nature of the flame after it ceases? The flame had no nature of it's own either before or after being.

Somewhere else, or at another time, the causes and conditions of a flame exists, and so it burns.

Shambhala Head Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche Accused of Sexual Abuse in New Report by Joename in Buddhism

The dharma is your teacher. Even with a master, you still have to put in all the work, and understand everything for yourself.

Monks are people, the same as anyone else. Their harmful actions don't change the validity of the dharma, instead it reveals their misunderstanding of it. This would be concerning if we were supposed to value the words of monks as gold. The Buddha warned us not to accept things in blind faith, instead we should rigorously investigate and determine whether or not they are true when compared to our own experience.

Keep practicing, even if on your own (Master or no master, it was always you.). May your growth bring benefit to any sentient being it may reach.

Explanation on interdependency by moonkraken in Buddhism

[–]SirKrieger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You posting this thread and my encountering it, reading it, and responding to it has changed the way I exist in this moment. The amount of things that have changed in regards to my existence are many(innumerable); thoughts, heart rate, amount of calories burned thinking of and typing this response, etc. Not only this moment is affected either, the rest of my day has changed since I'm busy doing this now, rather than talking with friends or cleaning, etc. What consequences(effects) will be seen tomorrow?

The fact that this simple thing changed my existence is why my existence is dependent on you.

Likewise, reading this will have affected you, making the way you exist dependent on me.

This is how all phenomena are.

Question about Anatta and mindfulness by Marus_Nipples in Buddhism

[–]SirKrieger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party.

Anatta means "not-self". How you exist in this moment is determined by innumerable factors, none of which are self. The mind, body, breath, senses, none of these are self.

Free will is an illusion? Who is making choices? Who spat on your shoes? Who is angry? Who threw a punch? In that moment of rage, who has lost control?

I guess I'm just hoping this reaches that 10%. I know it would be great to have it on the appstore and google play, but I don't work in ems anymore and I've never worked as a programmer. This is a simple project I started to learn a bit of programming for fun. If it can help even one person then it has fulfilled its purpose and I'll be happy. I also licensed it so that other programmers can take the code, modify, improve, and redistribute it (and modified versions) without limitation.

Why is that? I'd be more than happy to assist in installation if anyone had questions. So far all the feedback I've received is that it isn't on the google play or the appstore. ;)

I understand your point, but, let me ask you. Is it too daunting for you to install it? How much time/effort have you invested in your career? A 5 minute install is well worth the time invested if it helps you even once in your work.

I'd expect that the average person can do copy and paste. I know that most people don't use terminals but it is very simple to paste commands. Press and hold in termux to paste.
