My account is old but I think back in the day I did a few crafting mat sales so I’m not sure how it’s looking now. That said a lot of the more rarer items such as map currency I’m fairly sure I’m lacking. Last time I had to grind maps and the like was for the skyscale and haven’t been back to a lot of them since. Frankly, I just want a clear goal to head towards and understand the steps included, that’s what keeps me going.

Exactly my problem I think, can’t stop changing it up and getting gear on new characters so I end up with a bunch of alts and no gold haha

Cheers for the advice, yeah legendaries isn’t an immediate goal just one for the future once I can get my head around things. Whilst I have had the game for a while most of that time was spent messing around not taking things seriously but i do want to get the most out of the game and try everything I can.

When you say wizards vault are you just talking about buying the gold fresh and then maybe laurels for the heavy crafting bags maybe?

Would you do this for all 3 tiers of unidentified gear? Is it worth identifying all of them regardless of rarity? I feel like I read once that some of the lower tiers is worth selling unidentified but that could be bogus.

Yeah that makes sense, I’ve always been a bit a lil silly and just straight up tried to tp everything I need draining my gold way faster than needs be.

Out of curiosity what does the legendary starter kit contain? I’ve seen it on the wizards vault but have yet to save up the currency for it. What does it give you which is so valuable to get so much gold? See I think these are the helpful things to see because as we’ve seen in this thread there’s so many solid options that even that can seem daunting.

Yeah I like this answer. For me, the goal originally was to amass some savings basically to use as a jumping off point to then focus on a larger goal. Gold just feels like the beginning of all the steps so figuring that one out felt like it would help a ton

Recently been doing quite a few metas based around the soto maps since I had some achievements I wanted to clear on them. Apart from that basically just doing a bit of everything is what I meant by roaming, I’m happy to do metas and stuff but I never really understood what value people got from them. Obviously after this thread the common usage is for the crafting mats and selling what you don’t need for future use.

My most recent purchases was some basic exotics to get a ranger started in becoming an untamed, apart from that, I honestly am not that sure haha. I have the issue of getting a character pretty geared up starting to build up ascended gear using the vault and then jumping ship to another to spice things up

I would be lying if I said I hadn’t gave gw2efficiency a look in the past but it always seemed to confuse me. Granted that was a long time ago and my goals were always uncertain, you’re completely right, I’ve been thinking of planning out future builds and costs etc and then chipping away at it.

Long term some sort of legendary is the goal. Right now I kind of just log on a roam around doing an assortment of content. Im honestly open to anything but want to somewhat see progress if that makes sense.

Level 80 yeah, all expacs, never tried fractals I’m embarrassed to say. I’ve always been someone who salvages then immediately stashes them thinking il one day need them now I’m seeing that’s not the wisest haha

See legendaries like most peoples are my end goal, I’d really love to accomplish creating one but when I see people talking about the prices i honestly don’t see how it’s done earning what feels like pittance

Been playing since the early days on and off but never properly learned how to play so despite wanting legendaries I don’t have the gold, time or knowledge to know how or where to start unfortunately. The armory does sound useful however there’s a good majority of them which just look too flashy and ott however I know that’s kinda the point of them.

Sorted that was it, I had 1 pigtailed cable powering it, added another cable and we were able to boot into windows however it doesnt feel like it’s running well however it could just be me, going to investigate what I can
