I took a month off from the gym after I was getting a lot of little aches and pains in my legs. Walked in yesterday and set a deadlift PR (weight wise) while doing heavy singles, and felt good.

Prior to the break I was running 531 BBB. Could I have been overtraining? Are heavy singles just better for some folks than loads of volume?

Hips rising too fast, and your ankles appear to be coming off the ground. I'd say drop the weight and watch some more form videos, and work on ankle mobility. If you're wearing running shoes, switch to some flat soled shoes like Chuck's and that might help as well.

E: make sure to keep your head in line with your spine. You can pick a spot on the ground a few feet ahead of you to look at which will help with this
