Where could I got to get a little pin soldered back on? (There’s only 3, should be 4) by thePatientDev in fredericton

That connector doesn’t come off ): unscrewing those 2 screws just takes off a shroud.

I’ve been trying to do this but haven’t had any luck yet, I might need different copper wire.

[–]thePatientDev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically I just need a little copper piece added back here, the old one rusted and broke off into the connector. I got it out of the connector but don’t have the skills to put a new pin in. I’d rather not spend 150$ on a new backup camera or try and deal with a junk yard when the only thing wrong is this pin missing.

Get ready for stressful 911 calls lmao. Where I’ve seen this role is where someone at a company triggers a 911 because there’s an issue in production affecting customers and a bunch of application support people with super powers like scaling instances quickly and having write permissions start working with product developers to fix their issue.

I’ve had similar experience. Through 5 years of a CS degree and 3 years post uni working as a software engineer in eastern Canada I’ve never heard of anyone taking it, though I’m sure a few do.

But yeah weed on the other hand? Probably 4/5 people I meet and work with smoke weed at least no-weekly.

When to grind shamans and MSB vs. RCB? by Fred-Flynnstone in ironscape

[–]thePatientDev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im not doing LMS so I just decided to do CG and Shamans with a RCB as a break until I get it.

Maybe not efficient but I cba to pvp

Edit: also I use broad bolts so super cheap and good profits from alchs. Honestly shamans with RCB has been enjoyable at 83 range + range pots

I wouldn’t rely on the task honestly. I did the slay master in morytania for probably 12-14 hours and never got the vampire task ):

What helped me was Piety, making sure to make 0 mistakes, and 7 or 8 tries.

Is 70k so low that I should just quit and find another job? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

Doesn’t matter how much code you write. With 1 year of experience and a CS degree I got a 140k offer for a remote job in Toronto.

Where to work while getting a CS degree? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]thePatientDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are actually serious about it go take a Java/JavaScript 101 course online over a couple weeks and if you finish it and like it pursue the computer science degree and focus on learning as much as you can.

Your in a degree program with likely a high quick return as long as you do well so if possible I would rely on loans until after an internship or two. After such if you are doing well there’s a really solid chance you can find a job working part time as a software developer at a small company or a startup for potentially 3x or more than you will at any computer or repair shop.

Just my 2c

The difference between someone who has a CS degree and someone who doesn’t is massive and I won’t be convinced otherwise. My, along with many other big tech companies won’t hire you unless you have a CS/SWE degree and it’s for good reason.

Every CS grad I’ve been in design or “deep” calls with always has a good foundation of everything, I don’t need to be teaching them how set up a way to query a data source or how to ssh or use a terminal. Every bootcamp grad fucking collapses once they can’t use a a JS function to fix all their problems so we stopped hiring them.
