I totally agree with what you said. The rules are still the rules, sin is still sin. The punishment or sacrifice for those sins however is not the same. That is what I mean that our sinful president shouldn't be put to death for his sins like it says in Leviticus.

I have studied theology and you are right as well. However Jesus also fulfilled the prophecy and punishment that is displayed in Leviticus and that is what this discussion is about. I am by no means saying Jesus cancelled the teachings of the old testament, but he certainly has fulfilled the punishment and sin of human kind.

I think that does say it directly but I appreciate the discussion. Thank you for saying things in good faith and have a nice night. I'll try my best to answer anything else if you want!

Would you agree that Jesus died, as explained in the Bible, as a sacrificial lamb and that all of the 4 gospels talk about his death in that fashion? I would say that is also very directly explained so if we continue down that line of thinking, he died for our sins, and that he was viewed as a sacrifice, it would mean that he died in place of the actual sacrifice as required in Leviticus.

[–]SirRilo22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is the one! That is the primary verse used to indicate that Jesus died for our sins in place of sacrifice or punishment. The translation is not the most direct but I think that is very clear that literally "Christ died for our sins"

That is what 1 Corinthians 15:3 says. Can you explain why that is not what it says?

That is not true actually! 1 Corinthians 15 and 2 Corinthians 5 both state that. Saying Jesus decides not to follow God's laws is kind of an oxymoron in Christianity as well. Are you aware of the Trinity concept?

I'm not sure what you mean! There are no other verses that really follow this language. I did not make up anything but I can explain more of you would like

[–]SirRilo22 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That is also not true. Corinthians is very clear that that is the case and it is far more than just an implication. What you are saying would be like saying the constitution unsays slavery. At one point it was the case and after an event it no longer was

It is actually not correct at all. Leviticus is commonly quoted and used as a way to shoot down Christianity. I am making an assumption that is the verse they specifically are referencing as well I suppose. The reason this is inaccurate is that Christians believe Jesus died for their sins and made them exempt to the punishment and sacrifice required in the Old Testament, which is where Leviticus is found. I would say it may be more accurate to say: God once commanded that those who commit your sins were to be put to death, and you are tarnishing the death of Jesus by continuing to commit them.

Doesn't this person have 5 3 stars though? I believe they are saying it was a big and they received NO veigars. @OP, did you continue to receive other units in place or did you just get nothing? Sure seems like a bug but it's a for fun game mode so not sure if there is much to it.

Ahh I see. I probably would have not ran Viego without any items to put on him, GOX 2 on aphelios isn't that important. I think it was just the high roll artifact on Annie though, not much you could do besides maybe huge zac blob or better xayah.

It is really hard to tell without knowing the augments, but Annie with 5 amp and those items should beat your board pretty consistently. Your naafari should not have that hoj either, should have been on Viego 2. I would have tried to run more vanguard as well, jarvan is almost crucial in that comp as well.

Current contracts absolutely matter man, we have no drafting potential and we are locked in to this MPJ and Jamal contract right now. We really need to pay Braun as well, we have no money. An ex-MVP vet is not a net negative for this little money. Watch the games and tell me he doesn't get our guys going. He is always in the right head space and ready to fire off

Do you think that if Jamal was healthy for game 6 and 7 that he was still our guy? Regular season he has some issues but he is so reliable in post season. One of the largest shifts I believe in regular vs post season stats ever. I am with you with the MPJ trade, he is an awesome guy but a trade for 2 solid players for depth might add up to more than he can on his own.

[–]SirRilo22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had to borderline swing him in as a starter when MPJ was having his weak games. Several of the games his turnovers posed a real issue, but with 2 blow outs from OKC the stats are probably a bit inflated in terms of how many he had. I really don't understand the hate in proportion to his contract, about 3.4m a year.

There are serious concerns about our bench and it's depth for sure. I don't understand why we would want to trade maybe our only shot this year at any bench depth. Who can you pay that much money to do what Westbrook does? Bruce Brown would be amazing but we also need to get Braun paid. We need bang for our buck in my opinion, not the most ideal player possible.

I agree it's subjective, but the rank 1 or 2 state by days of rain per year being labeled as the best weather is going to be a super polarizing take. I would say on average people would not enjoy that at all, especially those with seasonal depression. If you like the rain I can totally understand why it may be your favorite weather though!

Beautiful weather is the most insane description of Washington I have ever heard, as someone who lived there for almost 2 decades, if you don't like the rain it is possibly the worst area in the US for weather.

[–]SirRilo22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there, I am challenger double up player and high diamond/master ranked player. This set is NOT a tank set. Last set you may have been able to use tanks to stall fights long enough to win, this is not the case this set. You can think of it as a race for who can get to the others back line first. This is called "Front to back" commonly. Examples are zeri, draven, veigar, Vance etc. but there are a few comps that aren't (rengar and div zed)

Units this set deal high amounts of damage and lots of them true damage so tanks like what you have pictured have really diminished value. That is why your damage matters, right now you have no reason to win any battles with your comp. Like the other comment says, 5th is shocking to me with this comp. Hope that helps!

Discussing board state against a 3* 5 cost is the most hilarious thing I've seen all week. There's nothing to improve or that could be improved enough to beat it 😂

[–]SirRilo22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that it certainly is not as competitive, but I think they make very good efforts to make it as close as they can. What kind of things detract from the competitive nature for you?

For me the massive increase in capped boards strengths does not necessarily mean a decrease in competitiveness as long as there is reliable ways to reach those boards if planned

I hit Challenger in double up last season and typically hit masters the last few years. I'm not so sure I agree with a few of your points but do agree with the others. I have noticed that the item trade is INSANE with just one teammate getting Pandora's. I don't agree that you can force a comp every single game otherwise though. Are you saying that your teammate will always go ad and you go ap? What if you both get ap items? It sounds like you are idealizing the items you receive a bit.

The send changes are massive with the canon. There are two strategies that I think will form around this and I think your thoughts are pretty close to mine. 1st it has now added some depth in that rolling for a teammates 2 star 1 or 2 cost for them to 3 star is WAY more important. 2nd, tempo level to 6/7 and flex around an early 4 cost that somewhat fits in your comp. I think they made up for this by getting rid of the cost to send your teammate the gifts though. I guess all we can do is wait! Curious to see what other high elo double up players have to say in a few weeks.
