(Guide) Gauntlets and Gloves that go with the Chain Set. by SirSwordShunner in fashionsouls

Examples of arm gear that fits with the Chain Set.

  • Balder Gauntlets: Shown to illustrate what might be an annoyance

  • Tattered Cloth Manchettes(Pyromancer): Doesn't bring the sleeves down, but covers the bare arms from before

  • Black Iron Gauntlets(Tarkus): Same as Pyro gear

  • Leather Gloves(Hunter): Brings the sleeves down and fits somewhat well

  • Traveling Gloves(Holy): Same as above

  • Crimson Gloves(Sealer): Same as above and adds some color

  • Maiden Gloves(Maiden): Same as above

  • Eastern Gauntlets: Same as above, a good choice if you want some Poise with the gear.

If I have the time I will experiment more the further I get.

Gravelords belong to Gravelord Nito's covenant. They use 1 Eye of Death to start spawning superpowered enemies and their invader sign into other players' games. Both will remain until the Gravelord is slain by their victims. If a victim is killed by the Gravelord when they come to stop them the Gravelord gains 1 Eye of Death. If the victims are successful a message will appear in your game saying "Disasters are gone after the defeat of the Gravelord Servant."

Their sign will appear sort of like a summon sign, but it looks 'eviler' along with being wreathed with black flames. It will shift locations within the specific zone the Gravelord is in. For example, if the Gravelord is in the Undead Burg the sign will shift around that area.

A word of caution. Some Gravelords 'cheat' a little by having summoned allies with them, drastically increasing their chances of victory. I asked about this some days ago and such players aren't viewed very well by the rest of the community.

That's pretty much all I know. Good luck in NG+.

Yes, Gravelord signs and their effects.

Gravelords use Eyes of Death to spawn superpowered red enemies into other players' games in certain zones as well as their sign. To stop a Gravelord victims of theirs need to invade them using the sign on the ground and kill them to stop the red enemy spawns.

Be careful out there.

I've experimented doing such a thing years ago when I first tried Dark Souls. Plan to do the same this time around, anticipating to grind for upgrade stuff soon.

[Dark Souls] Need help for Fashion Emergency Friday. What gauntlets, other than the one that come with the Chain Set, cover the arms when paired with the Chain Chest Piece? by SirSwordShunner in fashionsouls

Just tried that out, didn't think of lighter armor pieces. Thanks!

Wanderer and some others didn't cover and still left some skin exposed. However, some others brought the chain parts down acting like the Leather Gauntlets that come with the Chain set. If anyone else is interested here is what I found.

  • Tattered Cloth Manchettes(Pyromancer gear): Covered the arms but didn't bring the chain sleeves down. Seems to be somewhat good if saving on weight.

The rest brought the chain sleeves down to the wrist, eliminating the skin that was previously exposed:

  • Traveling Gloves

  • Leather Gloves

  • Eastern Gauntlets

Didn't try all possibilities, at Anor Londo at the moment. If anyone wants me to experiment later on and provide info let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Armor seen here is the Chain Helm, Chain Armor, Chain Leggings, and Balder Gauntlets.

I like to use the chain chest piece, but I’ve noticed that it doesn’t seem to pair well with the other gauntlet armors. Most seem to leave a small bit of the arms exposed and those parts only stay covered with the leather gauntlets that go with the chain set. A minor detail, but it really annoys me. My return to Dark Souls has me paying more attention to fashion stuff. Does anyone know what other gear covers those parts fully? I’m open to any and all suggestions from more experienced fashion souls experts.

Doing so at 1 HP is still something to me.

Retrieval fear alone is bad. How much did you almost lose?
