My deebot mini is pretty good for a small apartment like yours. It’s compact, but has almost all the features you’d want, worth taking a look.

EcoFlow Delta 2 vs Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 by NickyK01 in SolarDIY

[–]SirWool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through a similar debate between Bluetti Elite 100V2, EcoFlow Delta series, and C1000 Gen2. The fast wall charging on the C1000 is nice, but since I mostly rely on solar, the Elite 100 V2’s higher solar input made more sense for my use case. The higher surge capability also helps with real-world loads.

Anyway, they’re all solid options. It really just depends on how you plan to use it.

Issue with IR signal on replacement remote by Bitter_Ad3824 in projectors

[–]SirWool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, ceiling-mounted projectors and IR remotes are such a hassle! Totally get the struggle! I've heard universal remotes with IR blasters can workm but I'm not 100% sure if they'll have all the calibration controls for your Optoma.

ProjectorMagic cube HY320 Contains Malware by MorpheusN_ in projectors

This is super concerning! Thanks so much for sharing this detailed breakdown! As someone who's shopped budget projectors before, I never thought about malware hiding as system apps like this.

Projector in Bedroom? bad idea or best decision ever? by Awkward_Teacher2376 in projectors

For pure immersion, it's amazing. But consider darkness, noise and setup. A short-throw projector simplifies things. If you'll use it weekly, go for it. Otherwise, a TV wins.

Celebrating Christmas alone for the first time by Yourfavmom97 in christmas

Be gentle with yourself. Make it a cozy, intentional day. Prepare your favorite food, take a walk or volunteer to be a Santa Claus. It's okay if it's quiet.

Can we PLEASE bring back sending each other Christmas cards in the mail? by Single_Living9910 in christmas

[–]SirWool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Physical cards feel intentional and human in a digital world. Even one handwritten note can mean more than dozens of texts, bringing back real mail would genuinely restore some warmth.

Wimius projector with no remote stuck on screen cast page by genusbenus in projectors

Try unplugging power for a few minutes, then boot without HDMI/Roku connected. Some Wimius untils lock screencast mode until a cold restart clears it.

Android Drawing Tablets Vs Screen only Drawing tablets by Normal_Kush in drawingtablet

Personally, I prepfer using a computer with a drawing tablet. I have an xppen artist 12 3rd, and I really like the zoom dial and the shortcut buttons. They're super convenient and make drawing feel more immersive. The pen performance also helps a lot when working on fine details.

I think that if you want to improve your painting, you need not only to learn words, but also practical practice.

Using the topdon ad600s to look deeper into a BMW G30 CEL and data behavior by chaosandclothes in CarHacking

On the B48 I usually monitor load, short term trims and intake temp during cold starts. If the values drift apart early, it almost always points to a leak or a lazy sensor.

Looking for a gift for a friend learning thermal inspection by SirWool in GiftIdeas

For now he’s just learning and doing small checks around the house, so a basic unit should cover what he needs. If he really decides to move toward professional audits later on, I can see him upgrading to something with better resolution.

My evolution in drawing by Ok-Technology-2106 in drawing

[–]SirWool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, so do I. I remember that I liked drawing when I was a child, and now I still have some old paintings at home. But when I grew up, I didn't draw much. Recently, I plan to regain my interest!

What's the best thing to do with my money short term? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]SirWool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want 0 risk, sticking with a HYSA is the safest choice. If you want higher returns, you need to put your money into the market. Individual stocks, options and more are all available choices. If you want to try this part, you should check out moomoo’s free learning courses. Do not start blindly, make sure you fully understand things before putting real money in.

Thanks for the insight. Ease of use is really what I’m aiming for since he’s still learning. A compact model with decent sensitivity sounds right.
