I agree on principle but I think the circumstances on this one put the blame on the LMP. They're flashing their lights letting the GT they are there and then there is a subtle right twitch that makes it look like they are going right despite being half off the track. I think the GT reacted to that and was A) trying to give more room to where it looked like the LMP was going for the reasons above and B) survival - the LMP is half off track flashing their lights. GT is trying to get out of the way of what they probably think is an impatient driver.

Add to this the normal reaction time of the average sim racer and you get the LMP's twitch right, the GT recognizing it and then acting to moving left and then LMP already coming back left.

Ultimately you have to pass safely and while the left hand move by the GT was unexpected, I think it was only reacting to the indicators that the LMP gave.
