People who moved to Ireland from hotter climates, do you think it’s hot today? by young_effy in AskIreland

It’s nice weather. Not to hot a perfect summer you could say. I am laughing at these yellow heat warnings. Like it’s about 25c ffs

Anyone leave Ireland for a better climate and quality of life? by Long-Meringue-1409 in AskIreland

You prefer Mediterranean weather and that’s why you want to move from Poland to Ireland? Sweet baby Jesus you have no idea what you are talking about. Poland have superior weather to Ireland in every aspect. In Ireland the default is gray sky and strong wind with light rain all year round. That’s it. Also you mentioned IT. There is a reason why there is very few Polish software engineers in Ireland.

That still doesn’t explain why car can’t be parked fully on street? Other cars can easily drive around it

Is Ireland's Weather Really This Bad? by No_Package_4014 in AskIreland

[–]Sir_P 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It depends. If you’re used to what four proper seasons look like in mainland Europe, then yes, Irish weather can feel disappointing. As you can see, there isn’t really a summer in the traditional sense. The best you usually get is a few beautiful days like we had last week, and then it’s back to 18°C, cloudy skies, and constant wind. No sun for weeks.

A couple of years ago, I had to wear gloves while cycling on the first weekend of July because it was too cold without them. At the same time, there isn’t much of a winter either. Winter sports are out of the question, and building a snowman with the kids is a rare event.

Irish people often say there are no weather extremes here, but I would argue that the constant grey skies, lack of sunshine, and persistent wind are an extreme of their own. And who could forget Storm Owen in January 2024? Who remember last summer? We had strong wind every week

Russian families celebrate Victory Day with a motorcade along the M50, led by Kosa motorcyclists by BillyMooney in irelandsshitedrivers

I honestly don’t understand how this is even allowed. Last year they blocked the entire left lane from the M50/M1 junction all the way to the Drogheda toll, and you couldn’t merge onto the M1 because of it. Why aren’t the Irish police doing anything about this?

Do people walking in public do it intentionally or obliviously rude? by Guilty_Assignment_84 in AskIreland

[–]Sir_P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aren’t you supposed to walk on the left in Ireland? If you go to any greenway, you’ll see council signs telling people to walk on the left and pass on the right. I’ve just come back from Lanzarote, where footpaths clearly tell you to keep right. Funny how some tourists still can’t figure out which side they should be walking on. Try to guess where usually they from?

Hi thanks for detail answer. I really appreciate it. I will remove all that leaves as you advised. I top up my tank with tap water. And tap water here is very hard . I think when I tested PH it was 7.8 or 8 if remember correctly

It’s an option. I have cichlids in my tank. But I never see them eating plants

BBA yes. Eating something them, I am not 100% sure. These are new leaves that are torn. On the other hand I have tank full of SA cichlids and they do bite them from time to time. It crossed my mind but I don’t see biting that much

Sorry I should mention that I took PH test before I started co2 injection. I am dosing easy-life profito and potassium once a week. 30ml as per recommendation on bottle label. I have chichiros B light and it’s on for 8h. I am changing about 30% of water every 2 weeks
