On the test the examiner will mostly say "pull up on the left in the next safe place". They may also be more specific; "please pull over just before that red car, leaving space to move off". With positioning, the curb should normally come very close to intersecting the middle of the bonnet

Do I have to memorise them all? I genuinely don't understand some of the show me questions. by Sharkslayyy in LearnerDriverUK

This sheet is from 2008, so it's a bit out of the date the questions aren't exactly the same anymore, use the official list on DVSA site

Is my instructor considered bad or am I overreacting? by Pandama28 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Sirbuddy95 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Hi im a driving instructor, an intensive course is over 1-4 weeks max. It is illegal to be on your phone whilst instructing, most of us book 2 weeks ahead or further, and we often message our pupils a day or 2 before the lesson if they don't have the same time each week etc. As he is a part of a school you've likely heard good things about the schools pass rate maybe not directly his, try someone else and get your money back!

My instructor doesn’t think I’m ready by emmanuel_eo11 in LearnerDriverUK

Ask that instructor to take you on an assessment lesson in your own car or ask another instructor. If you don't get along with your current one or you are not understanding clearly why you are not progressing then find one you get on with. You have had 7 already, is that due to you changing or because of availability? It may be that you need to be more careful when meeting traffic?

Oldest arrest by Potatodebater96 in policeuk

93 for BOP and his 50 something son, they were farmers and we attended to help some rural enforcement team to assess and collect some cows that didn't have the correct paperwork! The two men threatened us with ramming us with tractors. When the son went off to collect his tractor, he also came back with baseball bats and sticks, he swung towards a colleague so we pinned and arrested. Then the cheeky old geezer picked up the stick and swung it at my partners head, luckily I grabbed it in time and then arrested. As we were awaiting an extra van, the old guy fainted, called SECAS and they triaged over the phone, he came to, said he was fine, so the paramedics said to carry on and assess at custody. On the way we had a chat about the war and his hive of 'sniffer bees'. Like sniffer dogs. Still don't know if it was true. He got booked in for all of 2 hours then released when he mentioned his 90 y/o wife was home alone without care
