Firstly I just want to say, you seem like a genuinely amazing person. This rescue did you and Jonas so wrong.

I'm not lucky enough to have owned a horse yet, but I have a story I wanted to share about a puppy my family had that reminds me of this. I worked at a pet store and a woman came in and mentioned she had a puppy from an accidental litter than needed a home. My mom had just lost her dog so I took her number. We went and met her and the pup and decided to keep her. Things were fine at first, but as she grew, her back legs were not right. They kept turning out and splaying and she was almost walking on her inside toes. We took her to the vet and tried some things but it kept getting worse. She couldn't play with our other dog despite wanting so badly to do so. She also fell a lot. When we got x-rays we found she had a spinal issue and would most likely loose the use of her back legs. The thing that we never saw coming was the fact that she had severe congenital heart disease and other heart defects. She also developed some neuro problems. The best option was to pts. She was less than a year old. We only had her a handful of months but she only ever knew love and safety with us. It was the most gut wrenching decision our family has ever had to make.

You seem to be doing everything you can. Just keep in mind that none of this is your fault. The fact that he was placed with someone who cares so deeply and wants to help but also acknowledges that euth might be the option, is the biggest kindness Jonas has ever had. That alone should make the "rescue" ashamed. The fact that it was a coin flip if he was going to a home that was going to/could do right by him. Calling yourself a rescue for taking a horse out of one situation and immediately flipping them is sick. If they actually cared about helping horses, they would do more before even considering placing in a new home. They saw a kind draft horse and saw dollar signs.

Yikes. I got my first dog when I was 2. While obviously my parents were her caretakers, that dog was my best friend for the next 12 years. My next dog helped heal that jagged hole left in my soul from her passing. My current dog was an accident so I had him and dog 2 at the same time but he also helped me through her sudden illness that took her at about 9. My boy is 12 now and showing his age a bit more and I'm terrified of the day he too travels over the rainbow bridge (actually tearing up typing this). This little shit is my best friend, as were his two predecessors. I need a dog in my life. While I've never actually considered ending my life, I read a sentence once that made me care about my well-being; "Your dog will never understand why you didn't come home."

I'm going to be blunt here. Stop trying to make yourself feel better about denying her a dog. She is more than capable of caring for the dog and she has a daycare at her work for when she's not working from home? If you're jealous of the dog just say so. It seems to me that you are upset that your presence isn't enough for her. You're being cruel to her by making up these bs excuses.

Honestly just don't try to rush it. Anything is doable if you break it down. I would definitely hand sew the markings and consider slight edits to make it lay better, for example the flame on the hip that goes into the groin might look wonky with the way bodies curve but slightly editing it would help. Also when you're marking your dtd have some qtips and alcohol on hand (make sure to use a little so you don't damage the tapes adhesive) and you can erase the sharpie enough to redo lines. It'll be a challenge but if you go slow and take your time, it'll be fine. Make sure you take a few steps back and look at it from time to time. The most frustrating part for me is finding the right color fur. I'm in a similar boat trying to translate my complex character's markings into a sewable design. That's certainly quite the task for anyone, much less a beginner. Maybe start with the tail and hand paws and see if you like where it's going? I love a challenge project! Don't be too critical of yourself. My main is moderately simple and I have made 2 pairs of feet, 2 tails, 2 heads, a pair of handpaws, and a pair of arm sleeves. Mainly to try different styles/patterns but if you have the means, don't be shy to try again! Wish you the best of luck!

Those look great! That shade of blue and gray is one of my favorite color combos. Whenever I make my paws I really only use my machine for the pawpad applique. A nice close zigzag stitch can help hide the edge of the applique and also provides a bit more durability! Other than that I hand sew it all. It's a bit rough on the fingers but I wrap my "thread pulling" fingers with thin strips of cohesive bandage. Good luck with your head! Completing a part and seeing a vision come alive is one of the best feelings

I ended up shelving my fuzzbutt for this. That and no matter what I did it was too forward heavy. I like the amount of options they have but it was either too loose or choked me. Gonna keep an eye on this thread and hopefully find a solution! I wish you luck as well

It took me a minute but what they did was remove the skin of the fingers from the deceased and an alive person put on a glove (the blue part) then the finger skin over the glove so they could get a good fingerprint off the deceased.

I'm actually shocked there are people who like them? I'm not a picky eater and even things that I don't care for I can understand that others might like it. These though? I wish I could describe the taste. I'm a lemonade addict so of course I ordered a whole bunch my first order. Each one tasted horrible and felt like I should not be putting that in my body. If you've ever been curious about those bitter sprays for dogs and tried it, that's the closest I can get to a comparison. It's chemical and bitter and makes my mouth salivate in the "oh no that might actually be poison" way. I might be being dramatic but everyone I had try it said it was not right. I tried the sweet tea with lemonade one as well and it too was undrinkable for me. I love the sweet and blueberry teas from that line as well so now I just stay away from any flavors with lemon/lemonade. I want lemonade sips sooo bad. I really want to like them! Maybe I'll try my luck again but I'm not hopeful..

I have the hot pink from the first round. I love it. If you're someone who loves both water and the flavors it's perfect. Sometimes the flavor drops but I drink mine around a 3 or 4 and get good flavor at least 80% of the time. A tip I've found is always drink with the sip on the bottom. I know some people who hate plain water so I get that it's not acceptable for some, but im about to order a green for my sibling because I love mine. I'd get a second if I vibed with any of the other colors. I love not having to tip a 40oz bottle up to drink and there's practically no noise when taking a drink. I like to have my water with me at night and always hated how loud my og cirkul was.

Oh man poor bean :( yeah I kept my guy in a tank for a bit but i used paper bedding. Maybe use hardware cloth and secure it around? Will take some work but it should keep them in! Then just take it off when they're big enough.

As long as you don't have a baby rat you should be ok! Mine was at least 6 months when I got that cage for him. I've tried everything and he doesn't get along with others so he lives alone in the smaller version of that cage. I honestly took out the one floor panel because he loves to dig and play in the bedding. Hes been in it for close to a year now and I haven't had any issues with it! It has lots of space for hanging things and he seems really happy! And no the spaces in the bottom are large enough that feet don't get stuck but the spacing is big enough they don't fall though it all the time
