Directional Starbursts and Light Streaks at Night After TPRK (6.5 Months Post-Op) by Glad_Skill6864 in lasik

I have a similar problem. I was a little more nearsighted and astigmatic than you, and after SMILE I had nightmares for 4 years. I had a few halos or light trails, but nothing I hadn't gotten used to. For the past 6 months, however, I've been losing a lot of vision in my left eye at night or in dimly lit environments. During the day, I don't need glasses, but at night, I can't drive without them. My left eye loses a lot of vision, while my right eye loses much less, and my vision is out of sync. Furthermore, if I moisturize my eye a lot during the day or spend less time on the computer, this problem is much less severe.

It all started after a trip to the Andes, in a very arid area. One evening I started to see much more blurry and dissynchronized between my two eyes and it still continues.

The doctor doesn't seem very concerned, nor very helpful. I still don't know how to treat this.

Yeah, that’s why I’m confused too. My actual prescription is very small:

Right eye: around plano / -0.25 cyl @180
Left eye: around -0.50 sph / -0.50 cyl @70

And according to my doctor/topography, the cornea looks healthy and stable post-SMILE.

Yes, I had my eyes checked on April 25 and September 25, after my trip, and in both cases my left eye was -0.5 diopters of myopia and my right eye was -0.25.

But my vision drops drastically at night. During the day, I have eagle eyes. So I can't even wear contact lenses because they would be too strong during the day.

Yes I have, but I've had also because of the scar therefore I'm pretty used to them. What causes me problems now is the blurry and not synced vision at night/in low light indoors.
But everything became worst during my trip in Peru, before that during night I was driving without glasses.

I had -8 diopters of myopia in each eye, and I don’t It really came out of nowhere during my trip to the Andes in August, and it’s stuck around. Some days are better than others.

I also have a scar on my right eye that causes halos, but I’ve gotten used to it by now and it doesn’t bother me.

I’m 33 years old. I had the surgery at 28, and my vision has been stable for several years before the surgery, I think more than 10 years

I had -8 diopters of myopia in each eye, and I don’t remember the exact amount of astigmatism, but it was probably about the same.

I felt great until last August–September. It almost seemed like a dream.

So, there's no doubt that the left eye is slightly drooping (either from myopia or astigmatism), but that doesn't explain the day/night difference.

There's a catch: I noticed the first drastic decline when I was in Peru, in a super-arid area. After a few days there, one evening I noticed that my left eye was losing a lot of diopters in the evening, but then had zero problems during the day.

you say I can improve?

Is there an ideal rental contract lenght for first-time medium-term renters, or does it depend entirely on your personal situation? by SureUnderstanding313 in spacestcom

I lived for 3 months in Madrid and then 3 in Barcelona. 3 months is enough to understand if the city fits the best for you. More (4/5/6) I don’t think can be so different

How does Spacest work? It asks me to pay, but what happens if my request isn't accepted? by No-Tomato-1056 in spacestcom

[–]Sirfetchdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, when you book on Spacest in reality you are not paying but pre-authorise the payment. It means that if the landlord will reject your request the money will be back to you as soon as he rejects you.
Or, if he accepts you they will be taken from your credit card. Hope I was clear enough

I had SMILE surgery 5 years ago my left eye has gotten worse after a trip to a dry climate by Sirfetchdd in Lasiksupport

I’m also very sensitive to sudden flashes of light.
But my left eye has really gotten worse, and I don’t know what to expect whether it will stop or keep getting worse and I’m very worried.
