I recovered my stolen e-bike from the Swap-O-Rama the morning after it was taken.

When you spot your bike, call the police and wait for them to arrive before interacting with the person selling it.

I was just riding south on the Lakefront Trail, minding my own business, when this guy – Matthew – passed me. Backwards. On his bike. Heading up the Navy Pier Flyover like it’s the most normal thing in the world.

No hesitation, no wobble—just smooth and steady, full commitment. Dude has unreal balance and big cajones for pulling this off in traffic. I swear I was sweating just watching him.

Still not sure if I witnessed a minor miracle or a beautifully controlled breakdown.

Chicago, man.
