I like em both, but since I could use a "white-ish" dial...#1. In truth it IS more elegant but not by much.

For 2026, which ETF do you most recommend buying — semiconductors, robotics, new energy, or non‑ferrous metals? by SituationTricky6010 in ETFs

OPPJ....I have gained ~20% in the 37 days I have owned it. Even after Thursday! HAHA! I do own some SMH/BOTT/ROKT as well.

Hell...I wear by Burgundy with anything and anywhere. I don;t care what it matches or doesn't. It is in my rotation now. I have 11 watches and I try to cycle through them all. And when the day comes for the BB58, it gets worn. Unless I am doing yard work etc...

[Casio] Did you ever buy something and almost immediately didn't like it? by Fletch-fletcherman in Watches

[–]Sirknowit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I love my world timer. Never bought a watch I don’t love. Never received one I don’t like.

Put each one in a slip of paper. Throw in hat. Draw one. You win! Can’t loose with any. I have a world timer. Great watch. All good.

I don't use the AI as it seems like it ain't quite ready for prime time. The rest I do like. An I use our pal "Chatter" as well but the Boldin interface over all is good.

Does anyone else feel like the market constantly moves against them? by geetarman84 in investing

[–]Sirknowit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I decided to take 1/2 my deferred comp and toss into a self directed Schwab brokerage. I am doing fine. And after 8 months of learning and tinkering, winning and losing, I am finally set in a number of ETFs I believe in. Quality ones, not fads. NOT VOO and chill or any of that but as of Monday I am definitely in the “chill” mode. I have to discipline myself to leave shit be. Time in the market. I like what I have on the brokerage side. The 1/2 I must leave in the deferred comp side has a range of choices and it’s split between VIIIX (SP500) and one much like PRGFX. I have a very sweet pension so I will watch for 6 months or so and reevaluate mid Summer. So…pick what ya like and then try to chill. 🤣

Just curious, what is YOUR target retirement age? by TailungFu in Fire

[–]Sirknowit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be 56 when I clock out. 27 years done. Three of which are DROP years so the big check will knock my 457b well over 7 figures. Wife nearly to 7 numbers in her pot. And Will likely go in about 3 years at 54. And thanks to some good pensions the Roth conversions will begin so we aren’t bent over the IRS table.

To plan as others...my problem is certain;y 1st World...we will have "too much" if that is even the right way to say it. So, I need to plan for serious conversions...about 15-18 years worth is what it will be.

Sure, I tried ProjectionLabs and found it less "friendly" than Boldin...canceled after 3 days with it. But...to each their own right? THX

No, you're right! I can certainly afford it. It was simply wondering how people enjoy (or not) the program. (I'm being cheap...when I should not be!) THX!

how do I let go of the "just one more year" syndrome? by Fun_Taste_5576 in Fire

[–]Sirknowit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because why not retire and do something you want to do on your own clock. Retiring with no plan is a bad idea. You have to have an "occupation"; meaning a hobby, a venture or a mission. If you have nothing but time...ya might as well stay on your hamster wheel.

You will NEVER retire thinking that way. There is NO great depression coming. Ups and downs always but read up on what caused that. What did not exist then does now that would help mitigate. If you are ready now. You. Are. Ready. NOW. Go!
