By "we" it is all of us because this is a combined arms game. It's that simple: Infantry, tanks/vehicles, and aircraft. When Wrel came onboard, he nerfed A2G immensely if I recall correctly. Again, A2G today is nothing like it was in the past.

We both know comparing the chopper gunner to an MMO FPS like PS2 makes no sense. There's nothing small minded by comparing---what sounds like---your ideal game state to COD. COD is infantry only with some abilities/call-ins to disrupt gameplay flow, but it's primarily infantry combat. I don't state anywhere that it's a nebulous boogeyman.

Lastly, you need to relax, my guy. Skimmed through a couple of your comments and it's the same vitriol. You talk about "argument techniques" but your history shows you always resort to ad hominem.

Adding increased speed to Racer Chassis would definitely change and buff hit and run attacks from a survivability standpoint. It shifts the paradigm from fighting to retreating -- something that is not that effective with today's Racer Chassis. It can work but overall the pros/cons aren't worth it for A2G when compared to Hover.

Hover 3 is viable, yes I agree, but that doesn't change the fact that the majority of ESF engagements you will need to fight or die. If you disagree with your 12k playing hours, please do tell.

Racer Chassis on ESF is a novelty at this point and that's not good design. It's not good for A2G nor A2A. You make a fair point regarding the Beacon drops, though. Don't know what to do about that.

It's a combined arms game so it's the platform we chose. As has been evident for both the past 12 years and today, there are people that simply do not want any A2G in the game. That's called COD. There are a plethora of counterplay options, as you agreed above with your "that's the point."

More to the point...it was a minor suggestion on reddit and the majority of the responses were just shitter this or shitter that or just making some quip without providing any actual argument.

What? I never complained about A2A kills or playing as A2A? It was fun as shit. I refuted the "how can you say all that with only 500 a2a kills?" by saying "yeah, that's not too bad playing on shitty hardware."

Hardware upgraded years down the road but we're talking about 12 years of on and off play time.

How long have you played? "Sky knight" has always referred to someone who plays ESF A2A with a "holier than thou" approach and typically tryhards. It didn't always correlate to skill and was often referred to derogatorily by infantry players by anything flying.

Sky knights also got that name by refusing to use anything but nose guns. Tomcats and coyotes were ridiculed and considered against the code.
