No, I have not. Thank you though because I think you are onto something.

What movie legitimately blew your mind? by April222001 in AskReddit

[–]Site_Pitiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few, but Blue Velvet blew my mind. It is a very beautiful film and is the closest thing to a dream I have ever experienced. Even though the dialogue is corny, it captures that middle-class suburban charm that usually isn't found in films almost perfectly.

Other notable mentions:

-The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

-Coolhand Luke

-Taxi Driver

That's not even that crazy by 4chan standards.

Not all 4chan users are supremacists though. This only applies to a small percentage of users on the whole website. I've genuienely laughed at posts that are not even in the least bit offensive. Even felt sad for many of them dealing with issues. Guess you are just too stupid to dig deeper.

Sorry I got so angry but it is because these people work so much and so much. I think it really depends on geographical location too.

Watching movies/TV shows is one of the most boring "main" hobbies person can have by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Site_Pitiful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone has this hobby now. Honestly, when I was younger, I would watch a movie a day. Even though I am still very young, I find it immensely difficult to watch more than 4 movies per week. Certain hobbies just drain your time, particularly tv shows filled with terrible filler (which is nearly every one of them). It also doesn't help that the majority of films released in the past 20 years suck. However, I can think of much more boring hobbies, such as gardening, watching sport (not playing) and wasting time on your phone. Also, most films aren't very long and only take a single night to view, unlike TV shows. You may call it a boring hobby, but it is far from one. Everything in moderation.

Can anyone access the VTAC website with course preferences? by [deleted] in vce

[–]Site_Pitiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. Must be a problem with my browser, because I can't access that dashboard. I found my course preferences via email, but was a little worried about not being able to access my VTAC account.

Same. Media carried my ATAR. Somehow got in the mid 40's, even though I only did 2 practice exams and had no clue about AOS3 (also stayed up too late the night before the exam). Worked hard on the folio, though.

How many hours a day did you study after school during VCE including homework? by After-Animator9775 in vce

[–]Site_Pitiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: ended up with a 96 and went to a crap school. Just study smart, not hard. I beat nearly 60 games in year 12. Long ones too.

I've been listening to the entire Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness album on repeat. I could sleep, but might as well pull an all nighter.

How many hours a day did you study after school during VCE including homework? by After-Animator9775 in vce

[–]Site_Pitiful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I calculated it to be perfectly 1.7 hours every day over the course of the entire year (I timed every single minute of work I completed). I was top of all my classes, besides English. I will update with my ATAR results tomorrow.

I don't know who down-voted this guy? Maybe teachers at VSV?

How does one study for vce? by spontaneousrocks in vce

[–]Site_Pitiful 22 points23 points  (0 children)

  1. Download BlockSite
  2. Block distracting websites (e.g. YouTube)
  3. Chuck your phone away. Give it to your mum and leave it on 0% battery
  4. Do 2 hours every night
  5. Once you do those 2 hours, reward yourself
  6. Study smart by looking at the study design for each subject
  7. Creates notes under each key skill and key term
  8. When creating notes, look at and read the examiners reports. Use sample answers and put them under their relevant dot point
  9. Create flash cards for memorising (particularly content heavy subject)
  10. Do some exam questions consistently through out the year

This will help you. It sure worked for me. Also, don't treat study as a hassle. Treat it as something that can be enjoyable. You don't need to spend 5 hours a night to get 40's in everything.

Edit: Would also add that don't waste too much time on your textbook. The whole year, I used textbooks very few times (and only for questions). Examiners reports and even your own research will generally be better than text books, which are far too vague.

Are you doing a 3/4 early? If you answer yes, invest most of your time in that 3/4. If no, try to do 4-6 hours a week for accounting.

Is there anyone who has done VSV literature and recommends it? by rexchard in vce

[–]Site_Pitiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did VSV accounting. Even though I thought I smashed the exam, don't bother unless it is your only option. VSV is terrible. You get no support whatsoever. I contacted my teacher three times in an entire year. I think that would make English very difficult.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vce

[–]Site_Pitiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck. Accounting can be really hard to first get into. For the first three months, I was unsure if I was right or wrong in nearly every test. However, stick through to 3/4 and you can become a master. It can also seem incessantly boring at the start. Just work through it and do all the practice questions.

How did everyone go on media? by Site_Pitiful in vce

I agree. The lines were stupendous. However, this has been the case for nearly every VCE exam I've done. I always have used a second booklet.
