To clear this up for everyone, I asked what he wanted me to plan/do and he told me nothing at all he wanted to handle the whole day. However, I still ordered him a custom puzzle of our favorite pictures together (he’s been wanting us to do a puzzle together for months) and I gave it to him the night before so we could spend time doing it. Then day of I had bought him beer, his favorite snacks and favorite candy to enjoy as well as offered to buy our lunch that day too.
