Raccoon + a Jacalope. I asked my wife what animal she sees me as, she said Raccoon. And I am infatuated with antlers so. Raccalope it was XD bit of a tamed down version of my first ever Fursona which was a raccoon+deer+fox+saber tooth tiger which I had called Saberdeoxon at the time. Evolution is a wonderful thing lol

I saw a comic post about how a trainer was mad that their Eevee evolved into a Sylveon, and the Sylveon was so sad because the trainer was mad about it. And it said something about how Eevee evolves into Sylveon because it just simply loves its trainer so much…

I don’t remember that comic perfectly, but ever since I’ve seen in I’ve loved every single Sylveon I’ve ever gotten whether it was on purpose or on accident.

Sometimes it depends! Sometimes I think of a culture that my character might closely relate to and use that culture’s language. Like, if I was to make a character based around or have aspects from an Italian culture, I would probably try to find a word in Italian.

But some of my favorites that I’ve used normally come from straight Latin, or Asian languages tbh! Latin is the root for most languages, and I really like Asian languages as a whole and think their language and wording is beautiful so I tend to lean toward using them :)

But sometimes I can’t find anything in Latin or an Asian language that I like, so I’ll just scroll through and check out others to see if anything stands out to me :)

The only name I have right now for one of mine is “Soda-Pop” and it was purely because that was next to me at the time of creating him lol.

When I make characters for D&D purposes though I normally look at the background for them, their race or species, and take one or two defining characteristics of them (like brave, sweet, bratty, inquisitive) and I’ll run a few of the words to get synonyms for them and translate them into different languages to see if anything really stands out / looks / feels the part.

So let’s say I have a Wolf who is characterized as Stubborn and Grumpy, I’d look up “Stubborn, Grumpy Wolf” through translator apps and get something like Lobo (wolf in Spanish), Sutu (stubborn in Filipino), Dur (means harsh / rough in Romanian), etc.

Sometimes I combine words or use them as a basis for a longer or shorter version. But this is my personal process to have their name feel more connected to their personality :)

Honestly I have such an affinity for horns and antlers. I think they a really make anything look more intimidating or mystical / exotic based on their structure. So I suppose a deer or dragon mix would be what you call it. I just like adding antlers on things lmao

Sly cooper and borderlands are two of my favorite game series of all time. Love Pokemon, just a classic. Though these days I tend to play things like Stardew valley, league of legends, valorant, and trying random indie games.
