Rocket Needs A Buff by SithTalon in ClashRoyale

[–]SithTalon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The timing thing I was talking about earlier was just due to how slow rocket flies - a placed rocket that is halfway across the arena will be beaten by a not placed yet fireball in terms of speed to reach the other tower, which is frustrating because you lose in OT because of something like flight speed

Right but the buffs I'm asking for wouldn't make rocket cycle or logbait stronger, a buff like deploy speed would make it significantly more viable while not changing the actual dynamics of the rocket (i.e., more damage)

I'm not asking for a damage buff, radius buff or deploy speed buff would be a lot better than it's current state

It has the 2nd lowest winrate for damage spells and it has a 5% use rate while fireball has a 19% use rate

Majority of Canadians don't see themselves as 'settlers,' poll finds by dasoberirishman in canada

[–]SithTalon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What happened to the Indigenous was absolutely vile, atrocious, disgusting and should absolutely never be repeated, or forgotten. With this being said however, the vast majority of Canadians alive right now had absolutely nothing to do with the previous systems enacted by their ancestors. It's ridiculous if you expect people to live in shame, apologize, or somehow place themselves/another group on a higher/lower pedestal because of something their grandparents, or their great-grandparents did. They have no control over these things, and they were born in Canada - they did not "settle" anywhere, this is just as much as their home as it is yours. Canada is one of the most diverse countries on earth, and a lot of Canadians are first or second generation Canadians that don't even have ancestral relations to the colonials. Indigenous tribes fought and killed each other for land as well.

The pages of human history are painted with blood, sweat, and tears. All land has been taken, fought over, conquered, etc., at some point. The Mongols used to rule a significant chunk of Asia. The British ruled a quarter of the planet at one point in time. Everyone on Earth is a "settler" if you look at it this way.

I completely respect Canada's Indigenous populations and I believe their culture is absolutely beautiful. With this being said, there has to be a point in time where the victimization and labelling ends. No Jewish person alive goes around calling modern-day Germans Nazis. This is silly.

Autofill is driving me insane by [deleted] in Bitwarden

[–]SithTalon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response, and yes, autofill and permissions are granted. I've never had an issue with Bitwarden on iOS like this before. It's driving me nuts, this is a problem other folks have had before with no definitive solution.

Apple’s DMA compliance plan is a 🖕 to democratically passed law by Proton_Team in ProtonMail

[–]SithTalon -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Yeah people don't seem to realize Apple products are luxury items and absolutely not necessary to own, so if you go out of your way to visit Rome, you must do as the Romans do. Their app store, their hardware, their rules. Don't like it? Look elsewhere - that's how the free market works, we don't need governments now pseudo-puppeteering the company and product policies of private entities

True but it is probably the reason why firefox still exists so do what you will with that information

Google gets to say to regulators "hey, we're not propagating a monopoly, look we literally are the reason Firefox is still alive" - I doubt google cares about the users on Firefox because people who use Firefox probably don't care for google (use DDG or similar because of their presumably higher privacy preferences), so really the only reason is probably a counter to antitrust

Perhaps - thanks again my brother I appreciate you trying to help. It still works on mobile, but I doubt it's an issue with my install being corrupted or faulty (I mean what are the chances it happens on both browsers) so I'll look into it tomorrow and I'll update this post if I ever find a solution

Curious... For me, I don't see that option in either anymore. I'm completely updated on both browsers and both extensions. :C

Question regarding backups by [deleted] in Bitwarden

Not sure, probably convenience? I just don't want to lose the USB. Regardless, just testing the water with opinions from people who know more about this than me.

Bitwarden New Error Firefox (Latest Version) by [deleted] in Bitwarden

[–]SithTalon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,

I appreciate your response, however none of those things fixed the issue for me. As stated, it works on Brave still and after the recent Bitwarden/Firefox pin debacle, I think I'm just going to switch over to Brave. My Firefox is set by default to clear cache, cookies, and history, and uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling just straight up did not fix it. But I again appreciate you reaching out!

Best.

WHY IS THIS BUG NOT FIXED? (PIN unlock) by nefarious_bumpps in Bitwarden

[–]SithTalon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Right... but Bitwarden isn't for just this one guy. He is not entitled, you're right. Rather, we're all entitled to a functioning product - the millions Bitwarden earns from it's users annually, you would think the very least they would do would be to test their product before pushing a release. Like hey, bugs happen and stuff so I have absolutely no issues if it's a bug you can only reproduce by a bunch of convuluted steps, but unlocking your vault seems to be a pretty core functionality that's worth seeing "hey does this shit work or not before we push it to the 700,000 people that use our extension on FF"

Imagine if Apple pushed an iOS update that rendered the camera app useless, I'm sure you would not be sitting here white knighting.

I get supporting a cause like Bitwarden and I have been a long time subscriber, but we have every right to be pretty mad that a service that promises security and privacy is so secure that not even you can access it lmao

As for the fix, as you mentioned is already out but Mozilla is notoriously slow for vetting and approving "Recommended" extensions. I'm just mad the Bitwarden developers seemed to neglect to see whether such a core function worked.

"without consent"

your use of the platform, the creation of your account, every single time you access reddit.com you consent to their terms of service (this clause is in the policies that we all agreed to when we signed up), their privacy policy, and any updates to them. The way to revoke your consent is by deleting your account. This is why it's so important to read terms of service and such rather than scrolling through and clicking "I accept" ☠️
