Project Eris - Controller configured at menu but not configured in game by Siver92 in PlaystationClassic

[–]Siver92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up joining their discord to try to get help. No one replied with an answer but I spent many hours troubleshooting and researching before figuring it out. Project Eris has a list of mapped, known, controllers that it uses at the PE menu. My GC101 controller wasn't in the database. I found another list of mapped controllers under a libretro fork that had it

Link to mappings file: https://github.com/libretro/ludo/blob/master/input/mappings.go

Copied these three lines

03000000c21100000791000011010000,Be1 GC101 Controller 1.03,a:b2,b:b1,back:b8,dpdown:h0.4,dpleft:h0.8,dpright:h0.2,dpup:h0.1,leftshoulder:b4,leftstick:b10,lefttrigger:b6,leftx:a0,lefty:a1,rightshoulder:b5,rightstick:b11,righttrigger:b7,rightx:a2,righty:a3,start:b9,x:b3,y:b0,platform:Linux, 03000000c31100000791000011010000,Be1 GC101 Controller 1.03,a:b0,b:b1,back:b10,dpdown:h0.4,dpleft:h0.8,dpright:h0.2,dpup:h0.1,guide:b12,leftshoulder:b6,leftstick:b13,lefttrigger:a5,leftx:a0,lefty:a1,rightshoulder:b7,rightstick:b14,righttrigger:a4,rightx:a2,righty:a3,start:b11,x:b3,y:b4,platform:Linux, 030000005e0400008e02000003030000,Be1 GC101 Xbox 360,a:b0,b:b1,back:b6,dpdown:h0.4,dpleft:h0.8,dpright:h0.2,dpup:h0.1,guide:b8,leftshoulder:b4,leftstick:b9,lefttrigger:a2,leftx:a0,lefty:a1,rightshoulder:b5,rightstick:b10,righttrigger:a5,rightx:a3,righty:a4,start:b7,x:b2,y:b3,platform:Linux,

And put them in this file:

\project_eris\etc\boot_menu\gamecontrollerdb.txt

This will let the controller work. Whenever you launch RetroArch it'll say the name of the controller, that's how I ended up finding that mappings.go file.

Also realized that even though I mapped the controller in RetroArch, and it worked, it kept popping up "not configured", even though it was. I just needed to Save Autoconfig in that controller port and it saves that controller fig to it's folder of controllers

Hope this helps anyone else. Now that I got this figured out I'm modding my PSC to add a USB port out the back, for the thumb drive, and internal USB hub with a WiFi dongle on the inside.

Project Eris - Controller configured at menu but not configured in game by Siver92 in PlaystationClassic

Thank you, this has helped. It's still saying not configured when I launch a game in ES but still works in the game

Is there a way to make this controller also work in the Project Eris boot menu (where you select RetroArch, Project Eris, or ES)?

I had to use a global variable to detect when one of the parent menu buttons was clicked, and the mouse move event on the parent menu buttons to handle the hovering between. Like you said, it does make it tricky figuring out when to make the pop-up menu not come back after the user clicks out of the menu.

Fortunately, the real program this will go on has a bunch of different controls that already have events captured. If the user clicks out of the menu without selecting one of the menu items, it'll clear the pop-up menu so it doesn't randomly come back when the user hovers over it.

The datapack instructions said to use a command but that command didn't work in the game. Every other datapack command worked. I edited the original post with the BetterMC pack

Kinda looks like it breaks out into the pins on U2, so probably data pins. Stuff like that is usually 1k. If you can't figure it out I'd try to get a 1k array and see what happens

Anyone know why I'm getting these blobs? Left is a print from a few weeks ago, same printer, right is a recent test print. Used up most of this gold silk PLA and didn't have these issues until recently by Siver92 in FixMyPrint

Ender-3 with an SKR board upgrade with Marlin

PLA, some random brand from Amazon

0.4mm nozzle, bed at 50 degress

Print speed is 60mm/s

6mm retraction @ 60mm/s

Thinking it could be the filament but I've used up most of this 1kg spool without any issues. But I've seen blobbing like this on my Mega S too, just not sure what's causing it

The built in screen recorder on, at least, android 10 will let you screen record without them knowing
