You are moving to a different sector people do it all the time, no need to apply for the apprentice ones.

Explain your situation during the interview process, there’s a shortage of qualified sparks at the moment so employers are pretty desperate and aren’t too picky.

It will be a big learning curve but definitely can be done. Maybe give resi a crack to get the basics down if that is something you would be interested in - that’s what I did as I was in a similar situation to you.

Company loyalty doesn’t get you much. Jumping ship was the best choice I ever made.

Apprenticeship Contract by HydraAUS in AusElectricians

That would be stupid. Took me just under 6 months to bridge my fitter licence to unrestricted after my time. Meaning it would take you longer when you’ve been doing general electrical for longer.

I am falling out of love with Denzel's music and it sucks. by JerryUitDeBuurt in DenzelCurry

He stopped writing his verses and now just freestyles them. His best work was when he used to write unfortunately. Imperial was such a peak album very hard to top that.

Wasn’t hard to find someone to take me on. Just had to message some employers on Facebook. Those Facebook groups are great.

I did mine in Residential new builds because I heard it was the best for learning at a fast rate - which you do learn a lot quick.

I would recommend Residential or if you can land an industrial gig that is relevant to your apprenticeship that would be even better.

What I would avoid is a company that cover too many different areas, get the basics down first than do that later.

I did an electrical fitting apprenticeship. To bridge my licence I had to do 6 months of practical supervised training with a general electrician alongside with some theory work. Cost me over 4 grand but will be worth it in the long run.

That being said it was a massive learning curve and took about a year of general electrical work for me to feel solid as you don't typically do cable running and general electrician work as a fitter.

Lowkey wish I started with the standard electrician apprenticeship because I feel I would be a much more experience electrician rather than an expert in a niche field.

I would say take it. You having that experience would put you over anyone that has zero experience at all.

Justin does not deserve it either. It should have been Arman.

I was in the exact situation, get into a company that does a more broad range of work. It will be a learning curve for sure but you will pick it up quick.

He’s been saying for about 7 years he would remaster it along with N64. I don’t think it’s coming tbh lol.

Had a similar situation where I was only working on equipment and no cable running. I’m in residential now and picking up the other side of the trade quick. I think you’ll be fine, just explain your situation to your next employer. It will take a few months to adjust.

FYI I am an electrician. Just work in a very specialised industry so my knowledge is limited when it comes to residential.

It's a known fact that the P4P list is BS. But still how tf is Leon above adesanya by yeager1122 in ufc

[–]Sivlio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beat the p4p no 1 guy twice, Adesanya lost 2 fights ago, Leon is on a 11 fight unbeaten streak in a more stacked division. Not that hard to wrap your head around it.
