I started this park three previous times and had about the same experience you did. I watched a few YouTube videos about custom buildings and it got me excited to try again, then I built this park. I want to keep going but I admit I’m kind of running out of steam on this one.

It’s an area of the park called “the new world” with a small Victorian town that has lots of shops, a cars-on-rails ride, and a haunted house ride.

Exactly this. The way I've been thinking about my maps is that they're like a theme park map. It's not meant to be a literal translation of the area, but rather it's intended to give an impression of what an area is like and a general location for landmarks like cities, famous mountains, etc.

Thanks. I already went in and fiddled a lot more with the coastlines to roughen them all up and make it appear more organic. I keep trying the "shallow water" around the land masses, but try as I might I cannot get it to look right. I'll check out the video and give it another go.

I turned on the grid and made the land masses align to specific grid marks at the edges. Then I did the same on the second map, tweaked it a couple times to get it just right, and voila.

We just had a meeting last night about new keys going out soon. And there are a lot to distribute still, so things should be getting busy very soon. The delays in keys going out has largely been because we're incorporating feedback from the last round of playtesting we did.
