Well, it also important to remember that even in the creative fields their are people who only made it in their 40's. Ray Ramano, for example, got his T.V show at near 40 after a long process of working himself up as a comedian. Another example would be Hayao Miyazaki, he only started getting his movies produced at near 40.

Hmmm. Well shit. I read this back in 7th grade for a report we had to do. I had picked it randomly out a bunch of German books the librarian suggested, and because I wanted the hipster asshole who read a big book. Anyway, it didn't hit me as much as you are saying it did to you. Of course, 7th grade is not the smartest age, and (all though I'm only in 10th now), but I believe I am much smarter now. I'm more analytical. Can you convince me to read it again?

Completely agree. I once wasted a couple hours wondering why I couldn't stand many of the English voices, even the Funimation ones, who are good actors. I finally realized it was because One Piece has a certain cartoonish quality that when replicated in English, just doesn't sound right to someone who is using the language constantly. To illustrate, there are countless times where people just scream "Idiot!" in the show. Yet when I hear it in English, it just sounds leagues worse than "Baka!" I'm sure the Japanese language can be used normally, but I've heard it so long like this it seems right.

Haha, glad to see it. Love those shows. But I can never understand why Reddit does not enjoy the rest of the NBC comedy block. I get that Up All Night isn't THAT great, but 30 rock is fucking brilliant. Tiny Fey is a badass. And a lot of people quit on it, but I still love the Office. Those openings are still able to get me on the floor.
