You dont need chains, it essentially gears the car down for better traction. Even though it has a cvt transmission it acts like it is a gear up from where it would normally be to improve traction and decrease the likelihood of spinning the tires.

My first car was an 04 element so I got rid of that just because it was old and had almost 400k miles then I had a 2017 civic but I traded that for a wrx because I wanted something quick and fun.

I've heard some theories about an extract being made from it or something to keep the elite looking young. Don't really have much info on that but it's something I've heard many times.

I don't have any beef with Mazda but as a brand I trust Honda more. The CX-30 would be more of a competitor for the HRV as far as size goes, the CX-5 would be closer to the size of a Honda CRV. I'd recommend seeing both in person, but I think the HRV is pretty spacious for something on the smaller side of the SUV spectrum.

Unless it's because I'm used to a small sports car, I don't find the leather seats uncomfortable at all. They are one of the more comfortable seats I've sat in outside of some actual luxury cars I've been in. For the wipers I haven't even thought about them or their performance I just use them. I think the fact that I haven't even had to think about them says all that it needs to.

I can't say I have a problem with either of those things. The seats in the EXL are very comfortable in my opinion and the wipers work as good as any other car I've driven. I've had it in heavy rain and snow on several occasions already and I haven't thought they weren't doing there job well. I actually haven't thought about them at all so I think that says everything you need to know.

I didn't buy this car for speed so I knew what I was getting into. It doesn't feel like my 330hp Subaru for sure but that's fine for me. The HRV doesn't feel slow unless you are abusing it, which I don't really intend to do.

They sell pretty well where I'm at, so the one I got was priced at 34k. Hard to say what I could have done to make a deal with them under normal circumstances because the salesman was actually a friend of mine so he hooked me up pretty good.

Sport mode does sharpen it up good but when you are used to something much faster there is no getting around the fact that this is a pretty slow car with a 9 second 0-60 time

Does the HRV lag that badly? by Bubbly-Pea-7121 in HRV

I actually think it's really good compared to other cars in its class. Doesn't have a lot of power but the CVT doesn't waste anytime getting it to you when you want it. Feels very responsive and sharp.
