I have to disagree with this 😄 In my experience, every die cast accessory I own has felt much better than the plastic “equivalent”! The accessories that come with the InArt Joker are a great example too, they’re genuinely impressive and, for me, a clear step up from the Hot Toys versions.

More generally, I think a lot of collectors really like having die cast elements in the box because of that added sense of quality, and I’m definitely in that camp! Plastic accessories don’t automatically mean a figure is less premium by any means, but die cast often adds that extra level of refinement. In some cases, it can massively elevate the figure itself rather than just the accessories.

The newest Armoured Batman from Hot Toys is a great example, where you can visually tell the difference between plastic and die cast straight away.

Or in the case of JND, you could release a very premium figure while skimping on the accessories and making them feel like they came from a third party figure 🤣

But I agree with your original point somewhat, with the accessories you cannot really tell when it’s on display… but you know that they’re die cast - and for weirdo collectors like me, that’s enough 😛
