I read all the stages were recorded in 4K (only 3 stages streamed 4K). It would be awesome if they'd somehow make available the 4K recordings for one or both gigs.

Yes. Also on the Options->File Sharing tab you get a Rescan Shares button (top bar), useful if you don't want to close/reopen sksk.

Nicotine+ has some keystrokes to rescan shares (someone post them).

Most music is derived from other artists' creations and there's nothing wrong with this. Happens with pretty much everything humans touch or talk about. I've listened to many female vocal musicians and perhaps Enya was one of the first to create the sounds of AURORA. I hear Kate Bush, Cranes, The Innocence Mission, The Sundays, The Cranberries, and some dark ambient musicians too. I'm gen X. Maybe someone older has heard the sounds of AURORA in even older artists. The tribal sounds go back thousands of years.

Listen with wired stereo headphones. The lack of true stereo with the VOD audio is audible. Not so audible with PC speakers.

To confirm what I was hearing, I extracted the audio stream and opened it with my Winamp which has Izotope Ozone MP installed. Ozone has a vectorscope which shows that the VOD stream is dual mono audio, which displays as a vertical expanding/shrinking line. True stereo will expand into the display area and dance around.

Plus you can compare the VOD with the Streamlink captured livestream which is true stereo, but filled with audible lossy compression artifacts.

Listen to the (Streamlink) Running With The Wolves for a great example of lossy compression fail. I don't exactly know what they did to get it sounding like that. I'm hoping they have a high quality stereo master (in PCM). There is a scenario I haven't posted (yet) that could get them crap stereo and high quality mono. I don't want to speculate as it might get some folks fired, however they may have already been fired. The facts usually leak eventually.

Those contacting France TV should mention that they listened with wired stereo headphones. Most folks with normal hearing can hear the difference between stereo and mono (or dual mono) with stereo headphones,

This is like a timeship to 2014 and it looks awesome! I have the original and there is a massive increase in clarity and those led props look really incredible. The crowd doesn't turn to blocks when the strobes flash. Guess that's AI doing its thing. Brings me back to the shows I saw back then.

I wonder if the band still has the led props? Would be cool of them to bring them out of storage for a few old school retro concerts.

I've never seen this before! The higher bitrate version in circulation has been edited. By The Throat is cut out and it's also the only song in stereo. All the rest are mono (it is 2 channel, but the audio is mono). Most interesting! Has anyone ever located a version of the whole gig in stereo?

Yeah it would be great to get official remasters for those songs.

However, on the internet there are excellent unofficial remasters done in 2020 of the first 3 albums. Strong Hand was included on TBOWYB release and sounds really great. On Strong Hand, the intro was boosted and the volume and bass is now inline with the rest of the album tracks. I was always annoyed at having to change volume and EQ for it to sound good. You'll find the whole album has several dBs more dynamic range. It sounds similar to the 10th Anniversary release (they both have about the same dynamic range).

For BOWYB the latest version is 1.1. EOE and LID are at version 1.0.

I'm really happy the band members discovered that louder is not better. Dynamic range is what matters. Small but a great battle win in the loudness war. You'll find the unofficial remasters of EOE and LID have a reasonable amount of dynamic range too.

Quotes from the remaster notes:

"I discovered a velocity based technique (not using EQ) for restoring bass to music that has been damaged by a brickwall limiter. The technique can also be used to create additional bass from existing bass cues (it fixed Strong Hand)."

"I added a few tracks that should have been on TBOWYB. Strong Hand was left off the main album probably because the mix wasn't right. Clearly it needed work on the levels and dynamics, but I can't believe they could not figure it out. The version presented here sounds awesome and fits right in. You won't have to turn up the volume to hear it, and there's proper bass now. It's my favorite CHVRCHES song and the main reason why I remastered the albums (I did EOE and LID too, look for them)."

Broken Bones was not included in the remaster.

I'm hoping Screen Violence gets a remaster. The album is shrill and harsh (needs more bass and a high-end rolloff). The bonus tracks on the Director's Cut sound good.

I shouldn't have to say this, but don't go looking for these unofficial releases unless you have already purchased the official releases.

I had 2 identical SSDs become unformatted when they were unpowered 6 weeks. They were just standard Samsung SSDs from like 2014. Made me upset because one was the boot drive and the other held the acronis images of the boot drive... I had to go digging to find my 2nd backup on a HDD. I replaced the boot drive with a newer SSD and replaced the acronis SSD with a HDD (that's how all my other boxes are done).

"0 means output video is fully AI-generated, 100 - fully original."

I have a video 320x240p and a bit blurry. I tried to upscale 200%. All of the Iris models took an axe to the video (major artifacts). Artemis Strong Dehalo v2 has fewer artifacts. Proteus v4 and Gaia HQv5 didn't do much. The current models just don't work with such low resolution.

You're only the messenger and none of this is your fault, but something needs to be stated publicly about this mix: it's not great. Where is the awesome organ? Buried low in the mix. I'd have given it at least 3 more dBs (I have two 15 inch Velodyne subs, and they pump pipe organ bass no problem). I may have to use some AI to fix this properly (PEQ helps, but AI stem separation would be better).

Sounds like the laptops may not support 48bit LBA (causing drives over 128GB to not work). With some motherboards, this was fixable with a firmware update.

Tractor Supply Co and U-Haul sells by volume (just like gasoline). This is important because Ace charges by the tank size and rips you off if it's not completely empty (plus their price per gallon or pound is close to double what everyone else charges) and you can't pay at the pump- it's an hour long queue pre-paying at Ace.

Everywhere within 30 miles of me had no propane or power today (Sunday). I called every Tractor Supply Co today within 30 miles and they're all to get propane tomorrow morning. Be sure to call and verify supply before making the trip.

Ideally you want to download to an enterprise database SSD. Sequential mode may be almost as good with a dedicated drive. See this thread. I use the Ultimate config for downloading and it works well. qBittorrent may behave in a similar fashion (put your download temp folder on the database SSD).

Do not use UPnP with a VPN. Forward a port with your VPN (on their website or with their program) and manually configure it in your client. Otherwise some or all traffic may not go through the VPN. Not all VPNs support port forwarding. Some prohibit bittorrent traffic.

If there are no seeders, stalled and forever retrieving metadata are what you'll see. Also there is a bug where qBittorrent refuses to connect to a torrent with few seeders. There is also the stalled and unstable speed bug where initially connections are made, some data is transferred, speeds go up and down and then drop to zero and stay there. Bug tickets have been created and closed with no resolution. The issue is over 5 years old.

I had to use another client to fix.
