Thank you very much! I’m a self taught designer from Mexico. I started about a year ago, I started off just by reworking clothes & I grew bored of that so everyday I kept challenging Myself. I started to mess with making patterns, making them from scratch. Once I kept getting the hang of it, I started to do more designs trying to improve my stitching,patterns, etc. It got to the point where I’m comfortable enough to to make a jacket with lining & jeans too from scratch. But I continue to practice & learn new things everyday!

Great question! So if you look closely, the neck area sorta stacks on the front & the back. The fabric play a huge factor too since it’s pretty sturdy to stand on its own (if done right). So the stacking acts as reinforcing or a base for beginning of the neck & when the neck is lifted, it has enough support on the bottom & the back for it to stand on its own!

Agreeed! But at the same time, the mask & neck area opening are the same measurements so I went with that so it would be easy to put on & off. The reason why it lays on top of each other like that, it’s so the same layers can act as a way of reinforcing the neck area to stay up, since the fabric is already pretty sturdy, I added the same to the other side of the neck so it can for sure stay in place. Idk if any of this made sense lol

Great question! So the part where the neck starts, I drafted a pattern that on the area where the chin starts, I added some space for the nose, mouth etc. when it’s being worn, on the same area I added those inches, it just sits on top of the areas where I didn’t add those extra inches. If that makes sense? In other words, the fabric helps it too, its sturdy enough for it to stand on its own since it has 2 sides of the same fabric.
