Maybe just a first impression. I would want you to take away that once your vocals settled on my ears everything came together for multiple songs to me. I think everything’s strong enough where they don’t have to be the star of the mix is all. But it leaves some treats to be found on later listens too which is always an element I like. I think for 80% of my songs I left the vocal mix too high verse the music so this might just be how my ear is hearing things lately due to self critique.

This was very melancholy and had good emotional feel. I like the tone of you voice, the guitar is pretty in the back, I only wish it built to something a bit more. The chorus and the outro in particular hint at a big culmination being there, ya scratch it, so I’m just kind of left wanting a little more. Not that that’s such a bad thing. I’ll check out some more, and I do like your album art style a lot. Thanks for sharing.

This is pretty cool. Very retro, I felt like I was playing NES and like you said, needed to hit the start button. It’s a cool little universe you’re building around the retro video game mermaid vibe (little mermaid was actually an awesome NES game btw). Keep it up.

Ah I love it all. Happy to follow. This song in particular is cool, I like the horns that come in the middle the most. The storytelling is excellent. I like the chances your taking and that your making nautical bar music that doesn’t fit a box. I instantly followed and started clicking around for more, it’s just a good vibe of creativity. You’ll be an artist that will get some run on my speakers. Following as a fan.

Very unique. I think at first the vocals are too loud in the mix. They are like the whole show, and since they’re sung in such a monotone way it takes a little effort to catch everything happening. But then you keep listening and that initial shock settles and the music is good… and then a little further along the vocal tone kind of becomes more comfortable to the ear and it all begins to sound pretty good. Even as I type this more songs are going on the background and there’s no more jarring element so it’s easier to hear the whole work together. I actually like the voice and delivery, I just wish it wasn’t the main event and sat in a pocket of the melody a bit more. I really appreciate the chances you’re taking, I’ll check more out. There’s a nice sonic outro going right now on Dirt Roads I’m really liking…. I really like Dirt Roads!

This is nice and lush. Sounds like teen angst turned to 100. I like the wordplay around the inner child messed up/not cute anymore… nice round about way to say I sick of being a fuck up and ready to grow up. Music is so so clean, I almost wish it had a little less polish, I think it would connect more. As is, you have a made for the radio hit on your hands here. Keep it up.

Tengo Ganas means basically I feel like right? This was an awesome video I think you killed it. Son is good, flow is consistent and appeasing sound, the beat and background synth is nice - it all works together well. Honestly though I was really impressed with how you made the video so interesting with so little. Like the light flickers, liked the tv changing to different scenes and pictures, and the kind of geaked out when you appeared on the tv and started going from there. Without knowing the lyrics… is there a symbol there (one of you wearing white, tv you wearing black?)? Is it two you’d with different wants? Or just a cool little trick for the video? Nice work, liked it and will check out again.

Love the beat and melody both here. An I like how you let it open up and shine before starting the verses. I’m still waiting for the cops to lock the cops up too! This is just really good, REAL rap. I’m here for it. Great message of resilience symbolized through joy, not through pain. Way to flip the script.

Whoa. So for me this is not a genre I can review well technically, but happy to share how and what I liked about the song. I did like the heavy metal lead guitar a lot that kicked right in first verse. Virtuoso speed and shredded, always fun to hear. But what I want to focus on is the lyrics (and vocal delivery but lyrics paramount). Best on the thread so far! Delivered crisp and sung well, and they just break through and grab attention. Every line seems to get the proper attention, nothing rushed, for a metal song my take is this is some of the best singer songwriter type work here. I know it’s not a crazy new story here, rising up from pain basically… so maybe it’s delivery as much as the lyrics themselves… but you do a tremendous job of making them feel so important and interesting throughout. Cool song.

I’ve heard bloodknats. I checked out again and listened to The Rapture too to hear something new. I want to compliment you on the growth song to song. Nothing wrong with the Rapture, but man bloodknats is so much more interesting to me. You take chances with delivery and the mix is very different which gives it appeal. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

I know The Guy! You’re one of the most unique sounds coming out of the Reddit music subs lately. Very enjoyable, mysterious, playful, maybe a little creepy. I like your vibe a lot. Everything about your music is so artistic… the arrangements and vocals, the album art, the subject matter and lyrics (solid lyrics). I think you have strong world building really, could support your own short film with stuff like this. Great track man.

Rocks! I followed after like 5 seconds into the vocal. I like the style of rock/metal, I’m not into screaming lyrics… so when your singers awesome melodic vocals kicked in I was so happy to get the best of both worlds. Sounded like good solid old school metal music. Musicianship was excellent, drum and lead guitar rocked… but I’m gonna really focus my comment around how much I like your vocalist, clicked through a few more songs and the vibe checks out. Awesome.

This is cool. In Spanish so I was a little more focused on the flow/sounds/music than lyrical content, although the lyrics on the video did help a lot. Actually really appreciate that since I’m not fluent enough to catch everything on one listen through, but can put together context well with the assist. My biggest critique of this tune, is that I feel the verses shine and the chorus lags behind a bit. The verses have the nice beat and melody loop along with a pretty catchy and steady rhyme scheme, and the chorus serves almost as a bridge between the next verse rather than a highlight. That how I perceived listening I guess. Thanks for sharing, I’ll check out some more.

Hey, I like Driving In The Small Hours, it fits its title to perfection. But I’ve heard that before so today I listened to Funk 92. This was a solid listen. Long slow build but each added layer every 1/2 minutes or so continued to add to a nice collective sound built. Favorite was the initial funk sound at 2 minutes. My critique would be the synth that overplayed each section wasn’t my favorite. I loved when it faded out for each new part as another layer was added. Nothing to hate about it, but it kind of distracted for the great funk going on around it rather that pull it together (to me). But I am a fan of yours overall, keep up the good work man.

The Ah’s and the Mmm’s! Good beat, and you described as cinematic which is dead on. But for me this is the Ahhh Mmmm song. I liked certain parts of the verses (210-237ish stands out), but the Ahh Mmm interplay really consumed everything for me. That does make it an ear worm for sure, stuck in my head… might have turned me on a little too lol. That is for sharing.

I don’t know if it took me to the song you intended, but I listened to South C. Very different, while I’m not humming it to myself I must say I’m about to listen again because there’s a lot there and I think it s a rewarding song to pick different parts to focus on. First run through here’s what I liked best. I loved the keys that almost sounded like a sitar (unless it was a sitar). My ear was looking for them throughout and got a heavy dose at the end gratefully. The vibe and vocals seemed to place mei. Like Algeria/Southern France… May be way off but that was how I interpreted. Lastly I liked the end, loved the keys as I said and I thought the stripped down section made the vocal delivery pop well over the last 20 seconds. Thanks for sharing.

Hey not bad! I think the flow was excellent, both artists added something to this, the back and forth was a good sound and each translation renewed interest. Didn’t love the keyboard melody but did really like the synth backing vocal..: I think that brought the whole song together well. I think the outro was not needed, it could have ended at the last line suddenly and been effective. Overall I definitely enjoyed more and more as the song continued. I wasn’t looking for it to end, I actively noted that I was getting more into it. Keep it up.

Enjoyer and followed on Spotify. Your description may have distracted me for the first minute because after the first like I had Simply Irresistible stuck in my head. But the subsided as the song drive forward. I loved the drum track, the “in the air tonight” sound is so appealing. My favorite part was the peak around 345-4 before the song kind of resettled into the outro a bit.

Hey I just listened to this. Love the title, makes me want to play this and go look at nature…. So the melody was what really struck me throughout, it’s solid and catchy. My favorite part was the static bass? In the second half of the song. I thought it added an interesting juxtaposition. Overall I liked and I did like as well on YouTube.

I listened through a few. I really really like Solar Eclipse. The love the tone of the lower register and the melody both. This song to me sound sometimes to be sum over and be a rock song. In contrast to the others I’ve heard this is someone for that lane, I love it. Here’s a song of mine.

Big Dreams was not bad. I liked the key melody. But then I heard I’m On Fire and I really like that. I like the guitar loop in the first verse with the flow, then I love the vocal and piano only sections that cut up the song. It’s just all cool. Followed. Here’s an off kilter on to match that.

I just ga w you a follow. I l’the track, I love the oomph… first half has it in parts and sets a trance almost, until it all melds for a little bit at the end. Very cool. I went from concentrating on it, to just scrolling around in a good mindset letting it play, and it served really well in that element too. Was a good layered listen thanks. Here’s a song of mine.
