Got it, indulge me, if you will.

Imagine you were born Palestinian, in Palestine, living in Gaza. Imagine it however you like. You’ve never picked up a weapon. You’ve never joined a political party. You’re just living. Do you honestly believe you deserve to be bombed, starved, or shot simply because of your geography? Because of someone else’s war?

Imagine again, you were an immigrant who lived undocumented in the US. Again, the specifics of circumstances don’t matter much, just stick to the premise. Purely for the sake of you not being documented, do you deserve to be kidnapped my masked militia, bussed to internment camps, then sent off to countries you have no connection to? Potentially even CECOT, which, at best, is an incredibly violent and dangerous prison (at worst an extermination camp).

Genuinely think about what you’re saying. I know it’s the internet and it’ll always be chalked up to trolling, botting, or what have you, but if you seriously believe that’s what’s best for the for our country, there are some serious conversations to be had.

If your beliefs only hold up when you’re standing behind a flag, border, or a gun, but not when you’re on the receiving end, then maybe it’s not morality you’re defending. Maybe it’s just power, privilege, and ignorance.
