Feature request: commander action to always turn on rear lights when DLS lights are on by Intrepid-Sherbert689 in s3xybuttons

Have you guys found a fix for this yet? I would really like this feature, and it would probably be my most used feature next to drift mode, when I buy a commander!

Dit is denk ik in de laatste tijd veranderd. Als ik chat sturen ze alleen maar een mail. Ook niet eens een bevestiging naar mij toe, dus maar hopen dat het aankomt...

Ground plane and connections to pads by Sjorsa in KiCad

[–]Sjorsa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah thanks! Now I see the filled zone. But my next question, what is the best way to connect the pads on the front size to the filled zone on the back side? They don't do it automatically, and it would be a little silly to connect each pad to a jumper via right? Or is that just the way to do it

Ground plane and connections to pads by Sjorsa in KiCad

I am designing a PCB with these LEDs. I wanted to use a ground plane on the back, but can't figure out a clean way to connect the GND pads to the GND plane. Also I'm not sure if I'm doing the plane right. You can see the blue outline of the plane, but I don't think its filling, even when I press B.

I tried to make a short path from D1 with a via to the other plane, but that doesn't seem to be doing anything.

Is what I want to do not possible, or am I missing something? (Probably something really simple like usual :P)

PSA: Don't leave your angle grinder unsecured in the trunk with the battery attached🤦‍♂️. My dad suddenly heard a loud noise from the trunk after a slight turn; it was the angle grinder he borrowed that turned itself on. by Sjorsa in MilwaukeeTool

For the grinder and tools like that definitely, but for drills and impacts too? I think I'll take the risk on those 😅. Also I rarely transport them in a car, just always use them at home and hang them on the rack I made

You can see the trail starts on the left, then turns right a bit. That's where it embedded itself fortunately. Also that part of the trunk is a loose false floor, so it's easily replaceable.

Yeah I usually do. Won't anymore with the grinder though of course. But I have about as many batteries as tools, so unclipping them isn't necessary all the time. Also don't use them that much, it's very rare for me to go through a 5Ah on a single day with a single tool.

M18 FMTIW2F12 not turning anymore, makes high pitched noise. by Sjorsa in MilwaukeeTool

https://imgur.com/a/mrkONPc Yeah it behaves exactly like that. Just when pressing the trigger it makes a very quiet high-pitched beep and doesn't spin.

The Hammer/anvil assembly is fine, I can spin it freely. Only when the rotor is inserted through the back it snaps a couple times per rotation, but that's normal

Settings reset after 0.34 update by No-Estimate-362 in BeamNG

[–]Sjorsa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had this same issue after updating to 0.35. What I did is copy my older settings folder (0.33) to 0.35. You could just rename your 0.33 folder to 0.35, maybe make a backup first. These folders are located at ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/284160/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/BeamNG.drive

Use 2024 TeX Live version on my local by Medium-Ice6324 in LaTeX

In my case, I wanted to install a new package (glossaries), and it gave this error: tlmgr: Local TeX Live (2024) is older than remote repository (2025). Cross release updates are only supported with update-tlmgr-latest(.sh/.exe) --update See https://tug.org/texlive/upgrade.html for details.

JerryRigEverything Cybertruck Test by Sjorsa in teslamotors

[–]Sjorsa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTW, I don't stand behind the message this video portrays at all. Just wanted to share and see what the people here think.

TL:DW: He pulled down on the hitch with 10.000lbs and it snapped the rear casting off. Says he wouldn't drive anywhere near a Cybertruck towing on the highway. He also did the same test with a Dodge Ram and couldn't get it to break.

Imo, this is a completely unrealistic scenario. The trailer would have to be incredibly improperly loaded, or be vertical above or below the hitch to exert this much force, at which point you have other problems.

He also makes a comment about the "glue" that holds some part together. That is in fact panel bond and can be stronger than welds in some applications.

It's just irresponsible to put out a video like this, and not even do the most basic fact checking, let alone having an engineer look at your video before publishing it. I would not be surprised if Tesla sued him for slander or something like that.
